I've never had a telemarketing-type job where you're tied to a phone all day, but I find it very hard to believe that they (the workers) weren't told not to talk to the media.
Rule #1 in any company I've ever worked in is that when/if the media calls and asks questions, you're to defer to the paid talking head in the company. Absolutely no comments made to the press.
She might've forgotten about that or she may have not heard it because of the sheer number of people "training" with her that day, or the company itself may have completely screwed the pooch and failed to cite Rule #1.
It'll be interesting hearing the fallout from this.
