Laundromat bouncy plus new contender for bouncy meme

Four racists got a surprise today (cross-post from Good News)
I shared in Good News but think it's worth sharing here in GD as well. Freemay20, a DUer, doesn't post here much; I'm sharing this whether he wants me to or not.

This happened less than two hours ago in a suburb of Raleigh, NC.

A good friend of mine, another DUer -- freemay20 (50-ish, heavyset, tall, white guy) -- went to the laundromat this morning.

The only other person there at the time was a middle-aged, heavyset, VERY tall black guy, sitting, reading the paper.

After freemay20 loaded clothes into the washer and sat down, in walked four average-sized white guys in their early 20's, wearing confederate flag t-shirts and other clothing items conveying their worldview, shall we say.

One of the four looked at my friend and at the other gentleman, then asked my friend which washers were his. "Why?" freemay20 asked.

"Because we don't want our stuff anywhere near his," nodding toward the black man.

He said it loudly, not trying to hide their ignorance. As you can imagine, they high five'd one another and guffawed, proud of themselves.

They also made the mistake of assuming freemay20 was racist, just like them. Unfortunately, chances are great that, in this very red area, the white people they've come in contact with in their lives (assuming they're from this area) are indeed racist and bigoted.

Freemay20 look at the black man (I really hate that I don't have his name...sorry), who was clearly holding back emotion, and said, "I got your back."

They both stood up, side by side, and the gentleman told the four young racists, "I don't want my things next to YOURS. YOU need to leave. NOW."

Freemay20 backed him up with some profanity-laden words. The owner of the laundromat came out, hearing the raised voices, and freemay20 simply said, pointing to the four, "They need to leave. NOW."

She took the situation in and asked them to do just that, and they did. They left, silently, a bit in shock, no doubt.

Both men sat back down and took deep breaths to calm down from the potential ass-whooping that nearly took place. The only thing the gentleman said to freemay20 was, "It's everywhere." And shook his head.

And it is. It's not limited to the south AT ALL. It's everywhere.

It's appalling and ugly and dehumanizing. It's friggin institutionalized, for cryin' out loud.

But one man, who has likely endured decades of such hatred, got to stand up to it in a big way today, telling THEM to leave.

Kudos to that gentleman and freemay20 for speaking up and facing it head on.

Silence is consent.

That is truly the most pathetic pack of lies ever posted at the DUmp.
Is it any wonder we refer to them as "primitives".
No bong, no nuthin', that sucked.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Does it seem like these race themed bouncies occur more often when there are news reports of actual racist attacks? The current one being the gang of Obamasons that beat a white guy near a mall or something?  It's like they make up these stories to justify the actions of the racist thugs that pray on light skinned people.

Might have gone a little too far with the t-shirts.  Otherwise a fairly crappy bouncie.

In the interest of improving your bouncies, lurkers, I'm going to give you some feedback:

Quote

This happened less than two hours ago in a suburb of Raleigh, NC.

This is called adding detail. It is a sure indicator of a manufactured story. If it really happened, unless the location is important to the understanding of the story, this detail would be left out.

A good friend of mine, another DUer -- freemay20 (50-ish, heavyset, tall, white guy) -- went to the laundromat this morning.

More unnecessary detail added, and indeed you are now recounting a story, which, since you are now a third source, should be tinged with appropriate vagueness. The opposite actually happens.

The only other person there at the time was a middle-aged, heavyset, VERY tall black guy, sitting, reading the paper.

This is far too literary and specific. Were this true, only the race of the man need be reported. Too much detail has been added to evince credibility.

After freemay20 loaded clothes into the washer and sat down, in walked four average-sized white guys in their early 20's, wearing confederate flag t-shirts and other clothing items conveying their worldview, shall we say.

Here is where your failure is complete. The last time four men walked into a laundromat together, they were either delivering washing machines or shooting a gay porn movie on a closed set. Why FOUR? Why not three? Why not five?

One of the four looked at my friend and at the other gentleman, then asked my friend which washers were his. "Why?" freemay20 asked.

"Because we don't want our stuff anywhere near his," nodding toward the black man.

Completely cinematic, and not even good cinema. Did they elect him spokesman in the car or something? We? Come on. Four men together rarely have a spokesman.

He said it loudly, not trying to hide their ignorance. As you can imagine, they high five'd one another and guffawed, proud of themselves.

So they high-fived each other after one sentence, one demand? Are you positive that your friend wasn't observing four racists, but was instead dealing with the Cobra Kai dojo? Show this picture to your friend and ask if these were the men in question:

They also made the mistake of assuming freemay20 was racist, just like them. Unfortunately, chances are great that, in this very red area, the white people they've come in contact with in their lives (assuming they're from this area) are indeed racist and bigoted.

Recounted stories don't have generic editorial detail. Try again, less stridently.

Freemay20 look at the black man (I really hate that I don't have his name...sorry), who was clearly holding back emotion, and said, "I got your back."

And of course the "black man" (whose name eludes you, but since this is fiction, let me give you some options:

Clarence Castleberry
Roosevelt Washington
Earl R. Teague
Ernest Cumberbatch)

was following all of this action, instead of reading his paper...right.

NOW."

Channeling Redstone and HollisinSonoma. Wow. All men are badasses when racists are involved. Does freemay20 look anything like this:

She took the situation in and asked them to do just that, and they did. They left, silently, a bit in shock, no doubt.

I thought they were high fiving and guffawing. How, in less than 30 seconds, were they so neutered, by a WOMAN in fact?

Both men sat back down and took deep breaths to calm down from the potential ass-whooping that nearly took place. The only thing the gentleman said to freemay20 was, "It's everywhere." And shook his head.

Was the black man reading the newspaper, or HIS SCRIPT?

Kudos to freemay20 for allowing you to publish this lie.

Silence is consent.

Silence would have been better than this pile of wet monkeyloaf you posted.

Hell, I don't even think I've ever even guffawed.

The closest I can come to this is when two of my buddies and I went to Cloth World one day in Marine gear and intimidated an Asian man who was buying some chenille. We were looking for some damask with a fleur de lys pattern, but we didn't want that slant anywhere near the swatches we were browsing. We ended up getting chased out of there by this 70-year-old woman.

That's as close as I can get to this story.

The only thing missing from this poor excuse of a bouncy is the rusty Ford F150 they drove away in, you know with the confederate flag in the back window belching smoke and jacked up three feet and the obligatory gun rack in the back window.

Maybe instead of saying "I've got your back" he should have been more Shakespearean. Something along the lines of: To beat your racist asses, or not to beat your racist asses, that is the question.

Come to think of it, that's something I'd like to see from all of the DUmmies. More Shakespeare in their made up stories. I'll give a DUmmie of the Year nomination to the first DUmmie to work some of the Bard into a Bouncy.

Are we sure this isn't a mole with a parody? This is one of the most obviously false bouncies I've ever seen.

It's been a long time since I've been in a laundromat but from what I remember, you're about as likely to see four men going to a laundry room together as you are the same four accompanying each other to the rest room.
