Actually most of the NAZI sympathizers in the U.S. were Dems.

FDR's Ambassador to the Court of St. James (England for the DUmmies) had to be recalled in part because he had no problem with what the NAZI's wanted to do to the Jews.

Anyone care to take a guess who that was?

As TX said, it was the evil democrat party that promoted Hitler. Thw old criminal Joe Kennedy Sr was all out Hitler supporter.  The main media organ of the era, the New York Times, wrote countless articles and editorials in support of the NAZIs and Hitler.
