If you don't stand on principle, you'll fall for anything. Even people on the left have said they now agree with Cruz even if they don't like his tactics. As time goes on, he'll be proved right. He and a few others (and not just politicians) managed to rise above the fray. They never lost their cool, they weren't even called racist with the usual zeal. He even made 0bama going on defense. I'm sick to death of us never standing up on principle. This same argument that's made about 0bamacare was made about part D. It's still a mess and it's still here. I can't think of one entitlement that's ever been cancelled. It's going to fall anyway. People will remember that not everyone did the whole "go along to get along" strategy that always fails.

Everyone on both sides, with the exception of a few are forgetting the mood of the country and that almost 90% think we're going in the wrong direction. That is more important than anything. It's not getting any better. I've seen this before. And the left is severely overplaying their hand. Their language lately, the way they talk, calling half the country terrorists, etc. will get them in trouble. People will look for someone who's unafraid. At least we have a few who will do that now. Following the "recommended" course the press, the left and the RINOs tell us we should go hasn't ever worked but we keep doing it over and over again. I believe that's the definition of insanity.

Health care/medical care in the United States is not a "system". A system is an organizational model consisting of one "whole" of connected elements, which can be controlled from a single point. If it can't be controlled, it is not part of the system.

Health care is several marketplaces, some of which connect or abut others. Those marketplaces are subject to the law of supply and demand, just as any other marketplace. The government is attempting to control those marketplaces. That attempt to control medical care is fascistic, by definition. The next step is socializing the medical marketplaces.

It was a perfect opportunity for Stein to point out that everyone doesn't have to buy car insurance and that among those that do, high risk drivers pay more in premiums because low risk drivers shouldn't have to subsidise high risk ones.

The left always brings up "general welfare" as the reason for everything they want to socialize. Maybe the founders should have explained it so a 4 year old could understand it.
