Now that is cool! So explain your medium, is that a foil background?

The background is auto windshield sunshades from the dollar store.

That's Grace Slick's autograph up there in the right hand corner.  It is not totally out of context since "Somebody To Love" is #6 on the June 19, 1967 CHUM Hit Parade survey on the bottom left.

From the future past.  Those are 33-1/3 RPM 7" jukebox EP's.  The top one is the Mamas & Papas second album from August 1966.  The bottom one is their fourth and last album (as an active group) from May 1968.

Those bluish strips are the actual display inserts for the jukebox selection panels.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

First thought was, "that's cool".

After reading your explanation of the items included I went back for a serious look.

On second thought, "that's pretty darn farking cool". I'd absolutely love something like that for one of "my" bands/singers, and would display it proudly. Nice work.

Thank you.  I have a long history with that particular band.

I have all this "stuff" in totes.  It just sits in storage.  My goal is to find a "tasteful" way to display it.

I have one more jukebox EP of the Mamas & Papas.  It's from their first album.  The back of the cover is signed by Cass Elliot, Denny Doherty, and John Phillips.  I didn't acquire it signed.  I asked each one to sign it through the years.  I know the signatures are authentic.

I loved my parents old record player and have been considering becoming a collector of great records for some time. Having a cassette/boombox era childhood I just never got off my duff (between trading tapes for CD's for MP3s) and started doing it. Also, the only authintic musical memorabilia I own at all is Bob Dylan's signature on a typed lyric sheet for the song Hurricane and I own that by accident. (a gift for being in my college pals wedding).

Anywho, my 30 years from now, dream of owning/running a bar (of undetermined type) could sure use a touch of your style.
