Weekend Before The Big Bellevue Election
« on: October 13, 2013, 11:00:36 PM »
The Sunday before the big council election, the democrat candidate is busy from dawn til dark. Appearances, door-to-door harrassment of voters, meetings with bigshots from the democrat party, MSNBC interviews, running hither thither and yon, right?

Wrong!! Socialist Steve uses the day to construct an awful bouncy tale for the DUmp.

Is this the big event Dawes promised would break before the election?

Madison & I made a grandma and granddaughters day today
s I mentioned in the Twilight Zone Post (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023837263 reply 25) this morning, I took Madison to a free showing of "Monsters vs Aliens" thanks to Marcus Theaters. At the ticket counter in front of us was a grandma in her 70's that didn't understand the 3-D concept. Her granddaughter was 4 or 5. She was getting ready to pay for the tickets. When I realized she was seeing the same film, I asked the ticket girl if it was to late to cancel the sale? I started waving my ticket and she knew what i was going to do. She said no problem. It was just Madison and I and the ticket was good for 4 people. Grandma didn't understand and and asked do I pay him? The girl said no you have been treated. The grandma smiled and said "Erin we will now have the money for something at the concession stand". You should have seen the smiles! It didn't cost me anything but meant a lot to the two of them. We bumped into them on the way out and got another "thank you so much" from both of them.

Madison didn't remember the movie and we had a great time. Marta and I took her to it when it first came out in the theater. Two weeks ago today I took Madison to "Kung Fu Panda 2" in 3-D also free thanks to Marcus Theaters.

The dialogue in a Weeper bouncy is as pathetic as something rsmithnumbers would write.

A free Sunday matinee of "Monsters vs. Aliens 3D" is my idea of hell on earth.

The movie was at 11am Sunday morning.

The neckbeard's bio says his church is very important to him, but he wasn't there to pray for a less embarrassing outcome.

Why is there a compulsion among the DUmmies to post/brag about every little nice gesture they make toward their fellow human beings?

Is it because those gestures are so rare?

Or, is it that they expect to hear "How Great Thou Art" come blasting through the computer speakers as soon as they press 'post'?
This too shall pass.

He should have spent Sunday taking names off tombstones and stuffing ballot boxes.

Tomorrow is the big day. Probably going to finish 5th or 6th place easily.

It's less than twenty-four hours until the polls open in Ward 1 for the big Bellevue election.

Soon, anxious voters will begin to line up outside the polling places, wary about repuke voter suppression efforts.

On this election eve, surely our pal Socialist Steve is enduring a whirlwind of last-minute campaign appearances, signing autographs, kissing babies, giving rousing stump speeches, and posing for photos with giddy supporters.

I hope he posts a record of his exhausting but productive day, before the embarrassment of Tuesday night.

I imagine the tax and spend democrat will win in a landslide.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I've been thinking about that.  Steve, I know that you're going to read this.  I give you points for honesty in saying that.  However, you're trying to be a politician.  A Democrat one, at that.  Only Tea Party types are allowed to tell the truth about their spending plans.  Democrats are supposed to lie about that stuff.

He's probably counting on the party-line voters that reflexively pull the lever with the D next to it.

Can't imagine there's a lot of those in Nebraska even if Omaha is a big city.

It saddens me still that he did win one major vote in his career, the Steve. I still think it would have been much more appropriate for him to lose the award named after him, but alas, mine was a voice in the wilderness.

Hey you must think this is that place in Russia where they announced the winner of the election the day before the election.

Yeah, saw that on the TV news last week. The winner got something like 75% before the election and had like 85% after the election.
