It's a DUmp cred issue.

He failed to say his ten pounds of chicken legs were "free range", so he had to make up for it somehow.

Plus the fact he didn't mention anything he/she bought being organically grown.

I don't ever do that unless someone has a cart filled chips, twinkies, steak, etc. and then use cash to buy cigarettes. I don't even have a problem with having a package cookies, pop tarts or  ice cream, etc. if you have a couple of kids. Every kid deserves a treat now and then and it's not their fault their parents don't have money. I certainly don't know anyone's story. I've seen people be very responsible while using their SNAP card. I even saw a woman with a couple of kids (who were very well behaved) using coupons. That's being a good steward of the public's money and I'm sure provides her children with a healthier diet because her dollars go further.

Cindie

I didn't have a problem with what the DUmmie listed for their grocery list.  It's the ones that load their cart down with junk food, pricey cuts of steaks and that stuff.

I've told this story before but I have a white friend that had an ebt card and when he used it and there was a black or Mexican cashier they would give him a dirty look. No problem with the black or Mexican ebt users. I didn't believe him but was at a store with him and saw the black cashier givne him a dirty look.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

If an honest, honorable moonbat goes through a checkout line, and the hateful, selfish repuke behind him doesn't speak, is it still a bouncy?

Since when here there been an honest moonbat? or a honourable one? still less one who is both?

  • American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.
It is more believable he got the dirty looks when using his SNAP card because his grocery list was more like:
Lobster, Steak, Oysters etc. all the things that we who pay out of pocket for our own groceries don't get to buy except on very special occasions.
Funny how they always miss the part where the SNAP card is supposed to SUPPLIMENT your food bill not REPLACE it.

Therein lies the rub, and in fact your statement is profound: the safety net is supposed to be a very short term bridge, or a SUPPLEMENT to one's income to ward off STARVATION and MALNUTRITION. DUmmies and liberals, however, consider it their RIGHT and have NO problem living off what should be considered temporary and meager.

Allow me to present an analogy:

...but Nancy Pelosi said that food stamps add to the economy. So there's that.  :whistling:

Every dollar spent on foodstamps returns $1.76 ....or some such DUmmie math shit.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Just read on the Weekly Standard where the debt has increased twice as much as the GDP in the past two years.

Debt increase $2,405 billion
GDP increase  $1,199 billion

Pffft with the EBT card. I can tell the career welfare folks by just what they got in their buggy and how they act in the grocery store. I've gotten to where I can even tell them in the aisle now. They are the ones that grab premium grub and don't even look at the price. Get all the best cuts of meat. Et freaking centera. Then when they hit the checkout, they start separating the stuff they know they got to pay cash for... like beer, smokes, etc. Then inevitably they will over buy and have to start taking stuff back. Funny thing though... they never ever have to put anything back they pay for with cash. They know exactly what that cost.

Most people that are doing a weeks/months shopping that are paying for it usually have a list. A lot will stand there and compare prices. Some will have a calculator.

Pisses me off.

Even if the EBT cards did not stand out like a sore thumb in Nevada (grey with blue letters)  those using the cards flash  them like a badge of honor. They usually announce "I'm using EBT'' to the cashier and they try to remember which card they are using and which PIN they need to use. Most have more then one card on their person.

Nevada came out with a new design:

But many still have the old design as they have been using benefits for years and years.

Those ****ing cards should be as big as a placemat. I don't want people thinking the government gave them a no-limit credit card.
