I'm glad whoever is posting under LadyFreedumb's name posted this. I think the preamble is very, very important because it really shows the mindset of the founding fathers.
Let's break it down just a bit.
These are rights that are NOT given by the government. They are given by the Creator. The dems generally hate Him.
By calling these rights inalienable the founding fathers viewed these to be rights that no one should be able to take away. The 'no one' in the previous sentence includes the government. As a matter of fact, since the Declaration was written to a government I should probably say that the 'no one' ESPECIALLY includes the government.
Now let's look at the rights that are listed.
Life. This means that you have the right to be alive…even if someone considers you an inconvenience and wants murder you in the womb. The dems despise this right.
Liberty. This means that you have the right to be free and be free from oppressive restrictions. Once again, since the Declaration was directed toward a government we could easily add 'by a government' to the last sentence. The dems despise this right.
The pursuit of happiness. This right ties directly into the right to liberty. It does NOT, contrary to lib opinion, mean that you are guaranteed happiness. Nor does it mean that the government is required to hand out happiness to you. It simply means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness. The dems are confused about this right but still do their best to thwart it for others.
The dems are anti-American piles of excrement. The founding fathers would tell them to go to hell.
