Damn. I really enjoyed his stuff, especially his earlier novels. Amazingly accurate in details.

Less interesting, but I still managed to buy copies of his Study in Command series - Fred Franks, Ned Horner, and Carl Stiner.

Not too crazy about his Rainbow Six stuff.

Very prolific writer.

RIP, Tom. You will be missed.  :taps:

I bought all of his stuff.  I actually know a couple of the officers in his book about life in an armored cavalry regiment.

I know he's a liberal quack but my fav Jack Ryan was Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October.

One of the best movie quotes ever in that film from Fred Thompson "A Russkie don't take a dump without a plan, son."

maybe, but Clancy's stuff definitely didn't hurt him.
