IRS’ Lois Lerner at Center of Controversy Said to Retire
« on: September 23, 2013, 02:08:31 PM »
Lois Lerner, the Internal Revenue Service official at the center of the controversy surrounding the agency’s scrutiny of Tea Party groups, has retired effective today, according to a Republican congressional aide.

Lerner, the tax agency’s former director of exempt organizations, was placed on paid administrative leave earlier this year. Last week, acting IRS commissioner Danny Werfel told a congressional committee that she was “technically still employed.”

William Taylor, Lerner’s attorney, didn’t respond immediately to a request for comment. Lerner refused to testify before Congress, citing her constitutional protections against self-incrimination.

Bloomberg News

The Associated Press has confirmed her resignation.

This might actually loosen her tongue, but on the other hand it's quite possible she is retiring to work at a multiple of her Fed salary for a Dem lobbyist firm, by way of hush money.  Time will tell.

No it isn't done.

Lois Lerner was just one head on that particular hydra. You and I both know she isn't moving along without another two or three - at least - stepping in to take her place.

The extended leave, and now her retirement was probably intended to bump her retirement as a reward for being a good soldier.

It would be interesting to know the dates used to calculate her pension. Nevertheless, she'll be going on to bigger and better things.

No punishment of any sort. No change in IRS harassment. The media will paint this as scandal over.

The media won't do thing one with this. The whole reason Holder called the SPLC to set that charming Obama-son in motion for his suicide by "shoot up the Washington Navy Yard" was to distract the sheeple's attention AWAY from the mounting scandalous behavior of The Regime. To start the damned cycle over again because the propaganda ministry wants to bid a fond adieu to Ms. Lerner and thank her for all of her high work would be wasteful of "Holder's people".

A lot of you seem to be assuming that this plan stopped with her.  I do not personally believe that she was the apex authority for this.

Which is why she's just an interchangeable cog in the Regime's machine. Like I was saying, she's just one head of this hydra, and there are already two others - at least - springing up to take her place.

I believe this mess originated within the White House and had Obama's blessing if it wasn't his idea.  I doubt it was his idea, but more likely Valerie Jarret.

I especially like the part where if she resigns, she gets full pension, but if she's fired' we'd have saved some money!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She needs to be in prison for ignoring the 4th Amendment! And every other one up and to the 4th!

Ding, ding, ding we got a winner.  Retire with full pension.  Please. Beat me some more.  Anyone got the inside out on her rate?  I would guess she is top scale maybe around 170K and figure 30 years so lets give her a minimum of .6x170 or @ 102K per year for hitting the silk.  Then she hooks up a nice contractor job for another 150K and viola, she $hittin in high clover.

Frog march her off to federal prison.  No pension, just three hots and a cot for twenty years.  When she is a tooth less old hag release her on minimum Social Security like the little people get.

I disagree.

It's fairly evident by now that Dear Leader doesn't even head his own household.  No, I think Thundley has put his finger on precisely who's running the show in the White House.

Obama hasn't shown the intelligence to pull off the dirty tricks that have come from the White House.

Obama doesn't so much as pull on his pud without Moo-chelle or Jerrett typing instructions into the TOTUS.

Her attorneys said she won't testify again without immunity.  I seriously doubt, even with immunity, that she would finger anyone connected to the WH.  They're more dangerous to her well being than Issa is.

Bummer may not have the intelligence to pull off all of this low down stinkin' sleaze we're seeing, but he sure as hell has enough to put all the back stabbin' socialists/communists into the right offices for continued deniability. They'll all fall on their sword to protect what they consider their savior.

Don't sell him and his followers short. This all stinks to high heaven, from the wannabe messiah, all the way to his stooooopid dogs! And I'm not talkin' about the pooch!

And like all carney games, it's rigged, and the prizes, even in the impossible even you "win" are pathetically small compared to what was paid out.

It seems that you may be right.

"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
