If I had absolutely Zero reason to like Ted Cruz before...

...this would push me over the line into his camp.

Which Longtime GOP Senator Apparently ‘F***ing Hates’ Ted Cruz?
Sep. 23, 2013 9:02am | Becket Adams

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has been ruffling feathers since his arrival in Washington this year. Including some on his own side of the aisle.
This Longtime GOP Senator Reportedly F**king Hates Ted Cruz

In fact, according to a new profile in GQ magazine, the Texas senator has earned the intense dislike of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

“He f***ing hates Cruz,” an adviser to Sen. McCain told GQ’s Jason Zengerle. “He’s just offended by his style.”

But it appears that the contentious relationship cuts both ways. Cruz has his own words for the senior Arizona senator.

“I don’t know a conservative who didn’t feel embarrassed voting in 2006 or 2008,” Cruz said. “I think the Republican Party lost its way. We didn’t stand for the principles we’re supposed to believe in.”

Recall that McCain mocked Sens. Cruz and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) after the Kentucky senator’s 13-hour filibuster over the White House’s drone policy, referring to the two senators and those who agree with them as “wackobirds.”

Many moons ago (when I still lived in Arizona) I was an Arizona GOP volunteer who got 'volunteered' :whatever: to work phone banks for The Senile, Snowy-headed Senator's re-election campaign. 4-days of watching this ass-clown storm through the phone floor, angrily and loudly holding individual volunteers 'responsible' for failing to meet fundraising goals was more than enough to confirm for me what my dad - who had been shipmates with the man aboard USS Forrestal - said of his character and interpersonal "skills".

The senior senator from Arizona can't ride off into the sunset soon enough... :banghead:

Problem is...

...from my perspective, I can't tell for sure which jackass is riding and which is being ridden, but it sure don't look like McCain's on top...

I hate how McCain has turned out.  I used to think he was a hero but fudge that now.

**** McCain.  His ass would have been recalled in 2001 had it not been for the very same islamokazie terrorists he supports now killing 3000 of our citizens.

If your talking about a possible presidential run, I like Cruz a lot, but.....

getting another younger type Harvard grad makes me nervous after Obama.  I personally like Presidents a little older.

I never did like McCain.  When he ran in '08 I swore up and down I would not vote for him.  Only changed my mind when he picked Sarah as his running mate.

He was.

I still respect what Commander McCain did during his tenure at the Hanoi Hilton.  Barring any real evidence of incompetence, I truly do respect what Commander McCain did as a naval aviator leading up to his tenure at the Hanoi Hilton. If the personality traits and character of Senator McCain had been built upon the character that Commander McCain had displayed under the "tender care" of the North Vietnamese, he might truly have been one of the greatest statesmen in American history.

Unfortunately, when building the personality traits and character of Senator McCain, John McCain drew upon the dominant personality traits of Midshipman McCain; the man who graduated the Naval Academy 894th out of 899th in his class, who developed the reputation as a "partying man" while he was in flight training at Pensacola NAS, and who racked up 3 aircraft out in the Fleet because he was "careless and reckless" as a pilot. As a result, we have a self-absorbed, temperamental wannabe autocrat for the senior Senator of Arizona; somebody IMHO not worthy of Arizona's further consideration.

Kinda sad, really.

Seriously, the only reason I cast my vote for McCain/Palin in '08 was in the faint hope that the shock/excitement of winning in spite of his horrendously run campaign would be too much for Senator McCain's ol' ticker and he'd keel over during the acceptance speech, making room for President Palin to step in on January 20th.

So Ted Cruz ran on he would do whatever it took to get rid of the ACA.  Those Republican's opposing him need to be listed somewhere because they need to be voted out.

It wouldn't change a thing. I've come to realize that all politicians in our government, Republican and Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, are only interested in lining their pockets with our hard earned money and securing their power base at the expense of the rest of us. They do not care one little bit for the people that they're supposed to be working for and do whatever they can, including lying to and stealing from the American people and thinking they are above the laws that they force us to live under. I'm beginning to believe the only way we can truly change the direction America is headed, which is into the dustbin of history thanks to the current crop of elitist SOBs running the country, is though force of arms. Unfortunately the majority of Americans have become addicted to the pittance they get from government handouts and are happy to see this once great nation on a path to destruction just so they get theirs at the expense of others.

If all this doesn't scream "term limits" then I don't know what does.

Love Ted Cruz.  Reading an article about him in the Weekly Standard.  Huge spread.
