Mom who lost 5 children in Ohio fire is in shock

I cannot imagine losing one child, but five is beyond unthinkable. 
Off in a world of her own I expect, may be the best thing for her at this time, reality takes time to sink in.
Walking among the old cemetery's I have come across old family plots with 6-7 small stones of children that died in infancy. How did the mothers handle this back then ?
The idea of loosing one child is hard to fathom, the wipe out of 5 children is beyond the scope of anyone's understanding, few professional therapist have any idea how to treat a mother in this situation.
I found a stone with he names of 5-6 children that died on Xmas Eve and asked around at work if anyone remembered what happened. One woman said her brother was a fire fighter on the scene that night. He she said was never the same after carrying out the dead children.
These things are so horrendous it is not just the family effected but all in the community.
