Most Animals are taught how to grow up to take care of their needs as an adult. These Zoo animals have no chance to teach their own how to function in the world. All their needs are taken care of by others. Mother has no chance to train her cubs to hunt or find shelter, how to survive when hungry or lost in unfamiliar territory. No chance to teach them the dangers of their world.
My cats are much like these cubs, their needs have been provided for since birth their mothers never had to teach them to catch mice for food, they may chase a mouse but it is fun time for the cats, a game of sorts and they may kill a mouse but not eat it, they are not hungry.
Humans seldom teach their children how to survive, they are too busy with adult things. When the kids have any problem the kids are lost without a teacher to insure they can take care of themselves.
Parents are the first to run to interfear with life's lessons and keep the kids on a track of expecting others to help them out. It is now disapproved to fight back against bully's, a shiner from a fist fight is to throw parents into a tizzy, the kids are not taught to repel bully's but to placate them.
These cubs like my cats and a few family members have no need to grow up, can stay adolescences forever in a Zoo where they are safe from problems in the world.
These cubs can never be turned loose into the wild, they will starve to death.
40 year old grown men who need parents support are the same, have to live with parents as they have no idea how to live in the Jungle of life as parents never taught them.
Perhaps it is the parents selfish need to keep the kids dependent on them as long as they live.
We need to get parents to quit providing a zoo life for the kids as like these cubs, they will reach maturity and loose all instinct for survival.
