It is Set!!! I leave on the 7:35 A.M Bus, Saturday!!

Last edited Fri Sep 13, 2013, 06:40 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
I will be taking along my paperwork, Laptop, my way old camera, My dress shoes, my light suit, my no slip shoes, 2 pairs of Dress slacks (one black, one kaki), some unmentionables, and some other small IMPORTANT odds and ends.

The goal is to have the laptop case at 25 pounds and the backpack at 50 or less.

Tomorrow is my last day at the store. I pick up the last check either Wednesday or Friday depending on when the US mail delivers it. My last day will be a 9 hour run. But then the hard part of waiting happens.

Primavera will be closed on Sunday so I have been trying to contact the Salvation Army to see if they will have an opening. I will have a small amount of money, so I hope, if need be, I can find a cheep motel. But then again the Salvation Army may have an opening.

I will figure out something. I may be as unlucky as a black Cat, but I always land on my feet!

Making a reservation at the SA. Too funny. Isn't it on a first come, first serve basis?

Does she think it's a Holiday Inn?

Looking on the bright side, maybe some democrat party operative will offer her a bottle of Muscatel and a ride in a van with all of the other hobo's to a precinct to cast their vote.

1. Have you thought about posting something in the Arizona forum....

Maybe a nice Tucsonite DU member will see it and have suggestions, even give you a place to stay.

2. Funny this is that most of those in the Arizona group comes to the lounge a lot!

But I am sure I can work this out. Monsoon time is close to over so many of what is known as Hardcore homeless with be wanting to get back to there places. That means that those needing the emergency 7 day shelter that most shelters supply are open.

So getting in the Salvation Army will be way easier. And I can get a lot of stuff done while I am in there. Stuff that if can get it done myself, it will speed out what Primavera can do for me.

And I will need to get a hold of what they call CODAK. I do suffer from PTSD thanks to the tornado and this with my ex SO has not help much.

So I can get my sessions started again, set up my Food Stamps, and start getting applications in (I have started on line already) . Things will be looking up.

What the future has in store for you.

Undoubtedly, too be continued...

I'm sure once the word gets out to the Tucson underground that a fresh sheep is coming to down to get fleeced, she'll have her pick of places to stay and a selection of cars to ride in. There is nothing grifters like more than fresh meat. She'd better put her cash someplace creative...some dude who looks like he should be playing in a Bread tribute band will be rifling through her stuff while she sits on the toilet, waiting for his diseased man-sauce to drip out of her.

I had a thought which I dismissed in about a half of second that with Christmas coming up, she could be a bell ringer.

Bad idea. Only collector in the history of the SA with an empty kettle after a days work.

With all this work she is doing planning her trip I wonder if she contacted any businesses to try and secure employment before she arrives in town?

Things would be much easier if she had a few job interviews lined up before moving.

Even if they were just entry level jobs like holding the cue cards before they actually put her behind the camera.

For the sake of humanity I hope they never put her in front of the camera.

I will give her that much. She has said she's put some applications in online ahead of her move and plans to apply to more jobs in person when she arrives. Honestly, I don't begrudge a move for someone but she's so damn impulsive. What would have it hurt to get a roommate in Joplin if she hates the sisters so much and plan the move over the next 6-12 months. Hell she probably could have started at a Wallyworld and transferred to Tuscon in a year.  :???:

Her plan: Take a bus to a city where she has no friends or family, with the clothes on her back and less than $100 in her pocket, live in a homeless shelter, and stalk a man who threw her out.

I can't say "I will give her that much" about any part of this.

So she borrows $300 from her family to move to Joplin after her boyfriend threw her freeloading ample ass out. Stays there for a little while and family gets sick of her freeloading as well. They want the money back that she borrowed. So they clamp down a little and she gets a job at a convenient store and half asses it after being deemed too fugly to be a shot girl. She gives her notice and her boss breathing a sigh of relief accepts it and lets her clean the toilets. Money comes up missing and suddenly she has a bus ticket. Family pissed that she has freeloaded off them and never paid the money back they loaned her. She is now going to a different state with just the clothes on her back and a few stolen bills. Plans to leach off resources that are in place for real homeless people.

That about it?

Context is important my friend. Rob j asked about applying for jobs and I was referring to that specifically. I really hate being taken out of context...

I don't think any of us consider her anything but a foolish, impulsive leach. But putting in job apps is far more forward thinking at least then 90% of her du cohorts even of the entire hair brained Tuscon thing is ridiculous at best.

There's about a 45% chance that this whole storyline is playing the DUmp and us.

Nevertheless, it's the most creative and coherent storyline a DUmmy has constructed in years.

I thought Horse With No Brain's slutty daughter and Pam's gut rot were possibilities but they petered out. Amber is going strong.

If they did loan her $300.....and just maybe if they never see her again, they got a bargain.  :whistling:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

I understand, and I wasn't trying to take you out of context. Sorry if I did.

I have no generosity of spirit for this DUmmy. I fully expect her to be conned, robbed, raped and/or killed by the denizens of Tucson's underclass. Hell, she may not even survive the bus trip. When the inevitable happens, I will have nothing more to say than "play stupid games, win stupid prizes," and the earnest relief that she died without reproducing.

I won't give her credit for any part of her self-destruction that is less stupid or more forward thinking.

I was just about to ask for a summary of the situation, but I suspect you nailed it, so ^5 to you.

One thing that always strikes me about these people is the small sums of money that prevent them from doing anything that might improve their station. $300? That's it? With some gumption, she could find a little freelance work that would get her that inside of a week, and she wouldn't have to expose her girl parts, either.

How hard is it to scrape together a couple hundred bucks? Jeez.

She didn't want to leave Tucson. She was shacked up with her dreamboat Dave at his wino pad, and the world was a beautiful place. Then that evil Chad showed up and persuaded Dave to kick her out, putting an end to ten years of bliss and making room for that evil Chad.

That made her homeless in Tucson. She was saved by her loving sisters in Joplin, who loaned her money to move back to Missouri and allowed her to flop in their trailer.

Now she's ready to return to Tucson, dispose of that evil Chad, and assume her rightful place beside Dave and on his application for a government shack.
