New York Post:This frog obviously mistook a launch pad for its lily pad.
NASA cameras captured the amazing image of an amphibian blasting off last week at the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
The unlucky frog found itself parked next to the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer spacecraft.
The launching pad sits along a wildlife refuge in Accomack County.
So it wasn’t a complete shock that this critter leaped into harm’s way on Pad 0B, next to the LADEE’s Minotaur V rocket.
The best line comes a couple lines later:
It’s unknown if the frog croaked from the rocket’s blast off into orbit, orbit, orbit.
