To the Crew at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base!

I will be seeing you guys/gals streak across the sky again SOON

I was sitting in the park at Speedway and Stone there in Tucson.

I look up to see it. They were low enough to see clearly! They were making these circles and doing some roles. Not breaking any sound barriers mind you, just a lazy flight around Tucson.

It was heart pounding! I LOVED it!

This too shall pass.

2. I remember when I got to see my first F-14...

Hmmm.  Navy jets at a Air Force Base.  Maybe they were there training or more likely LFR needs a pack of aircraft recognition cards.

Davis Monthan is - among other things - an aircraft boneyard.  It's possible.

Not saying I disagree mind you: the likelihood that she can tell the difference between an F-14 and an FFG-7 is exceptionally remote. :cheers1:

Unfortunately, LFR wouldn't even make the "go ugly early" cut at the "O" club.

At DM they fly mostly A-10s. They are called Warthogs and are known for being slow and bulky.

Naturally a DUmmy woman would love them.

Uh-huh.....head for the hills, flyboys.

Quickly.....

....and rain grisly death from above.  I get the shakes thinking about having to go up against A-10s.  I don't care if I had a ZSU, or not.

The F14 was retired in 2006, replaced by the F/A 18.  If LFR was gazing skyward after that time, there's no telling what she saw (if anything at all).

Then too, my date might be wrong.  I retired in 1988, and some of my memory and information has become cloudy.
This too shall pass.

If they keep talking jets, it's just a matter of time until chemtrails come up.
