You know, I was in a serious quandary about this Syria business, at first.
I've always been a strong enthusiast for what John Kennedy said, about it being our responsibility ".....to bear any burden, to pay any price, so that others may enjoy the blessings and fruits of liberty....."
It's one of those Kennedy quotes the primitives always forget, along with this ".....ask not what your country can do for you, but rather ask what you can do for your country....."
(The primitives are pretty selective about what they remember of Kennedy.)
Anyway, so yes, originally I was for toppling the Assad regime.
But then because I realized that this is the Big Zero's baby, and none of the rest of us have any input on it anyway, I was free to opine as I pleased.
Because he's going to muck it up anyway, I'm now aligned with Russia, Red China, and Iran against the Big Zero, and pray daily that Assad perserveres.
It's odd, what studying the primitives does to the thought-processes.
