Martin Luther King Was A Liberal Progressive Who Favored Left Wing Causes & Don’t You Forget It
Oliver Willis · August 23,2013

As we head towards the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, it is worth pausing for a second to solidly stake out the fact that Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of the left.

For years the right has sought to either de-politicize Rev. King or expunge his leftist sentiment from the public record. We are told time and again that King was somehow beyond ideology and that his quest for civil rights and justice didn’t deal in politics.

Bull.

Rev. King was a liberal. A dyed in the wool liberal. He was on the left. He favored liberal solutions and liberal policies. He wasn’t a centrist, moderate, on the center-left or God forbid anywhere near the right.
HE WAS A LIBERAL.

......................

the rest:

Wrong. He was a republican. Most blacks were republicans until the democrat party lured then with drugs and free money.

2. He stood and walked the walk, talked the talk. Many things we now accept is results of

His work, he stood non violent, and he brought the beginnings of changes long overdue in our nation. To dream your children could achieve as much as others, to know you could vote and not just pay taxes is a good thing. He may have been a liberal but liberals aren't bad people.

Is today's democrat party non-violent? Nope.

MLK was a god fearing man. Is today's democrat party god fearing? Nope. Hell, they erased god from their convention. Bunch of heathens.

5. There's a good reason they killed him

The RW loves to take our best people from us, because they're obsessed with winning. Anyone who was a winner must have been their people.

They can't have him. They hated everything he stood for, and they still do. I will remember.

Your best people? I know that you're not referring to bobby kennedy. He was a total ass. His death saved the nation, until obama took office.

6. Thank you and I have been saying that for years...it's also one of the reasons they killed him

along with JFK, RFK and Paul Wellstone

wellstone died because we needed to toast marshmallows. Aviation fuel burns hot.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

DUmmies, he was not a liberal or Conservative.
He was a man that worked to improve the lives of the descendants of African slaves.
He was a good man. Leave your stupid politics out of it.  Assholes.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

King believed in judging people by their character and their actions, not by the color of their skin.  The left has perverted his vision to the point that King himself would no longer recognize it.
