That's possible, because one can't find a sysadmin in a hurry, and they had to do something, grabbing any available talent they could find.

After all, it was an abrupt shock to them, and so sudden and unexpected, that they had an intolerant bigot in their midst, and had to get rid of him right away.

Regarding the newly redesigned contact page:

The site is basically a template from the Cobalt Group designing arm of Cobalt.com, a digital marketing and integrated web design company that specializes in creating websites for dealerships. From a historical context, the site has used Cobalt since before Bulna...ah, disappeared. But the new page is one of several templates that Cobalt Group uses through their "Cobalt Nitra" scripts. I'm pretty sure that Bulna would have had no say in how the site was designed, just sent the data to Cobalt and let them do the web inserts. It's a standard arrangement for corporate franchises in general.

Having said that, the dealership probably noticed a huge jump in hits because of this, probably got more hits per day for awhile than they usually get in a month, so the bandwidth would also be a factor. In addition, they probably would have migrated to this format anyway, as mobile devices are more than likely to be a factor in new designs, and large pictures of personnel is actually a design detriment.

Enough ANAL-ysis for now. Bottom line is that the contact page redesign may have been triggered by Bulna's ugly mug being webcast across the Interwebs, but the website design and most probably maintenance is being done by Cobalt itself.

Maybe Doug could try to hook up with them?

Keep in mind that Gearhart is responsible for the looks of the content, while Cobalt is responsible for the template design and website design maintenance, perhaps hosting as well.

I was specifically searching the source code for design programmer information, which I got (Cobalt.com).

I'll bet it's been torture for Doug Bulna to shut down his posting on the goggie and kitteh forum at the DUmp, because it was a big part of his life.

That's what makes me think he's still working for Gearhart Chevrolet, a Government Motors reseller in New Jersey. Had he been let go, there would be no reason for him to cease posting at the DUmp. Shutting down his DUmp activity may have been a condition of continued employment.

That is a possibility; not as likely as he's been fired, but still a good possibility.
