Well here's what I got so far.
This is, so far, speculation.
.
He's a serious motorhead and racing buff, I think that he would be not to shabby as a mechanic.

I believe he works at a dealership but not as a salesman.
His daughter went to buy a car and was looking at a VW dealership but that turned sour so he had to helicopter in and save the day....
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022514288We went to the dealer I've bought cars from for 30 years, the local Chevy dealer. We walked around the lot unmolested and she discovered the Chevy Cruze, and loved it. We checked the used car lot and they had only three, one was a one-owner very recent 4 door LT. They let her TAKE IT HOME on an extended test drive. NONE in the shop, ZERO. That did it. They didn't ask how she was going to pay for it, were GREAT with her, and closed the deal giving her a substantial discount off the advertised price PLUS a HUGE amount for her trade, over and above what it was worth. She had over $2000 left from what she anticipated spending after trading in her old car.
That really is going above and beyond for customer service maybe he works there?
He likes to drive around Lake Hopatcong in the fall to witness the changing of the leaves, he starts on the east side of the lake and takes roughly 40 minutes to come back around to Route 46.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021489443At this point I think he lives in Dover NJ and works at Ayers Chevy. At least Chevys are built by the UAW.
He starts on the east side of the lake, has an affinity for Route 46, Ayers Chevy is on Route 46 and their is a VW dealership just a bit to the northeast.
