VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida teen accused of having sex with her underage girlfriend is back in jail after prosecutors withdrew a plea deal.

Authorities say 19-year-old Kaitlyn Hunt was booked into the Indian River County Jail on Monday night. She remained in jail Tuesday morning, charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child.

The state attorney's office pulled its plea offer Monday following allegations Hunt violated her pretrial conditions and contacted the girl. She's scheduled for a hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Indian River County Sheriff's Sgt. Thomas Raulen told Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers (http://HTTP://BIT.LY/19EDMJR ) the bond company that posted Hunt's bail brought her to jail.

Authorities say Hunt had sex with her then-14-year-old girlfriend last year. Hunt argues the sex was consensual, but Florida law considers sex with a person under 16 a felony.

I would think that the thing would find all kinds of willing cooter in a jail. The thing should be in 7th heaven.

I'm not so sure anymore. I understand being in love with someone. I get that. But she was told to stay away from the young girl and she didn't. She continued to text her and even send revealing pictures to her. She was offered a plea deal and refused it. Now I see she thinks the rules don't apply to her. I don't get it really.

Would this be an additional charge?

You know Tucker you bring up a good point,  the original meaning of Gay was to mean a male who not only not monogamous but bi sexual.

So many heterosexuals who are straight are not monogamous but free souls.

No doubt you idiots who clamor over yourselves to support any behavior in a LGBT emboldened this young woman to continue with her behavior to her own detriment. She deserves her punishment but shame on you too for encouraging this crap from the get go. Rules don't just apply to 18 year old boys with very underage girls. They apply o 18 year old LGBT too. That's what equality is all about folks. While it may work to your favor for what you perceive as rights it will and should work to your detriment when you are held to the same standard as a heterosexual person in a similar position. Welcome to being equal LgBT. Not what you expected I'm sure.
