I think I am over my head.

I have alreaydy had $85 taken out of my pay to the gas pumps getting crossed $7.13 due to my draw being sort, & a $6 rental fee of three uniform shirts that I have yet t be issued.

I have also been told I have two week to master all the stuff like money orders, Running checks, trying to mesmerized all the stuff we sell and the prices since not all of that is at the register or in the price book like it is supposed to be. And all the cleaning and stocking protocols.

And someone else is coming in to talk to me. I need my SS card and I.D for them for some reason.

Man! All I want is to pay everyone off and get back to AZ!*

You know, there's three things wrong with this tale.

Of course, working conditions vary from region-to-region, but I can't imagine Joplin, Missouri as being too much different from the eastern foothills of the Sandhills.

(a) by "gas pumps getting crossed," I assume she means those were people who filled up at self-service pumps, and then drove away without paying.

<<has never in life heard of a convenience store clerk being forced to make up shortages due to "drive-offs;" I know, because I've specifically asked this, many times, of people working in convenience stores.

(Of course, if one has "too many" drive-offs, one doesn't last long in the job.)

(b) by "my draw being short," I assume she means that at the end of the shift, her till was short.

<<has never in life heard of a convenience store clerk being forced to make up shortages in one's drawer; I know, because I've specifically asked this, many times, of people working in convenience stores.

(Of course, if one has "too many" shortages, one doesn't last long in the job.)

(c) "uniform rental"--self-explanatory.

<<has never in life heard of a convenience store clerk having to pay for uniform rental; I know, because I've specifically asked this, many times, of people working in convenience stores.

Every day in the Lounge on Skins' island, she posts her latest tale of woe; I've been following it for several weeks now, as she looks promising for the Top DUmmies; the absolute airhead who can't be trusted to know what's best for her.

Her tale of her upcoming sacking at the convenience store should be entertaining.  Next stop Micky Dee's which will be much better as they have pictures on the cash register keys.

I'm afraid that a job at the Mick's might not be a good career choice for the Traipsing Freedom Walker Girl.

A far better choice for her would be as a tour guide for trekkers across MO, KS and CO, then up the Front Range in CO, WY and into MT, then plunging across the Rockies in the dead of winter to OREGON!

Didn't she and her jilting "old" man make it into eastern Kansas? Last Fall? Before being turned back by snarling wolves?

I had thought of retiring to the Springfield area in MO, but if they're letting in the slacked-jawed, drooling mouth breathers, I'll stay where I'm at, TYVM.

The shotgirl job required either a pretty face, great tits, or a nice ass, and DUmmy Lady Freedom Returns went 0-for-3.

So now she's peddling smokes and Colt 45 for Apu, but can't handle it.

As I said, Joplin, Missouri can't be that much different from around here.

I managed a convenience store in the mid 90's - none of what LFR mentioned is accurate to the company I worked for. The chain didn't have uniforms at the time -just aprons, and they were provided for.

And I agree with what franksolich mentioned above - drive-offs and till shortages weren't compensated for by the employee. However, having frequent issues often resulted in firing. The store I took over was in deep financial trouble. I soon learned that everybody working there were either thieves or incompetent. Being the heartless rethug that I am, I fired the whole store.

The next audit - which came every three months (approximately, the company policy is to surprise the manager with the audit, to make it difficult to 'cook the books' beforehand) - produced a whopping 91 cents that couldn't be accounted for. I came this close ( >|< ) to pulling a dollar out of my pocket and stuffing it into the till, but that would have been a bit over the top.

Those things don't happen in the real world.

One drive-off would consume a DUmpmonkey's entire daily wage.

She just thinks those problems would come up if she had a job.

But just imagine if a DUmmy actually did work in a convenience store!

Convenience store checkouts are the source of more bouncy tales than about anyplace.

The more I read of her woes, the more I see something in her eyes, in that mug-shot of hers.

This is a sick sick woman.  She has the look of grabbines and tenacity in her eyes, and nothing's going to stop her from possessing what she wants......i.e., that old grouch in Arizona that she latched on to back in Joplin.

He doesn't want her, and has made it clear, but she's not going to give up.

That's a nail hit squarely on the head.

I'm sure that when it first popped out of the dossiers here, when looking at the photograph of her former boypal, one initially thought, "oh wow, what an old grouch."

But if one gets a chance, look at his face a second time.

He's looking at her; she's holding the camera taking the picture of him.

If one contemplates the expression on his face, it's not grumpiness; it appears to be a look of disgust with a little bit of fear.  Remember, he's looking at her.

I think her best hope is to forget the guy who doesn't want her, to forget about going back to Tucson, to cheerfully and obediently let her family micro-manage her life (as they know what's best for her), until she grows up.

Well, I got sick of waiting for my exSO to answer my letter and phone calls

I have been wanting some paperwork from him. And I would like to know he is fine. I still love the man. And I don't trust that Chad guy.

I call the Tucson Police. I dropped Chad's name and they hustled to check. He is fine and does not want contact with me. At least I know he is fine but what about the paperwork? I will have to do things the hard way for the section 8 I guess.

Or you can become a pin cushion for another middle aged loser.  Ask kpete the best way to screw for your dinner - she looks like she's done a pretty good job of it.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
