Bullshit. I've only complained twice, both times with perfect justification.

First, when coach singlehandedly won the award for a totally undeserving cut-and-paste DUmpette bitch Ann Pritchett.

I know his motivation.

As one fascinated by marketing, coach simply wanted to see if it could be done. It could.

Then last year when, just to spite the crazy bald dwarf, people voted for an obviously phony DUmmy.

Some actually believed he was legit.

Every other year, the winner has been deserving, the best horse in a sorry field.

The Top DUmmies is the biggest annual event on conservativecave, bringing in day-after-Thanksgiving hordes to the site, decent and civilized people and primitives alike.

It's also one of the most important public services that conservativecave offers, in exposing the banality and venality of the primitive mind-set.

I'm not sure what the motives of Mr. Wiggum, my predecessor, were, but I have no doubt they were as uplifting and noble as mine; inspired for the illumination and Good of Humanity.

I have no problem tabulating votes and the like. But I lack the ability to turn a phrase as well as Frank does. He uses his mouth err.. keyboard purtier than a $20 whore. :-)

I hesitate to call that "screwing up."

There is no way, no way at all, one can prevent moles from being selected as top DUmmies--and I'm sure a few other moles have been selected in past years, but we don't know who they were.

It's just something that happens, and in the end, doesn't matter.

Well, the problem isn't so much counting them; it's rather easy to count them.

The problem is the public relations flap that ensues when someone doesn't like the way the votes come out, suggesting there was some funny business with the way they were counted.

That was a big ****ing hassle last year; if one can't trust me to count the votes accurately, who can one trust?

I can ask DH to independently count as well as to verify the accuracy. But alas you can't please all the people all the time.
