BS, they would increasingly over-react the same way if there was only one gun loose on the continent, that's the bias built into all the DOJ/LEAA training and doctrine.  If anything, a lot of legally-armed citizens are a check on their wretched excess.

David Frum's comment makes about as much sense as blaming police overreaction on large size Slurpees.  Maybe Bloomturd can start a group called Mayors Against Illegal Slurpees?  Frum will probably be a charter member.

Correction: LAW ABIDING cops know armed civilians are on their side. There is a growing number of cops who have more respect for their "authority" than they do for the law or the civilians who want to be on their side, which make some of those same civilians ready to drop a tac nuke on city hall every time one of these turds abuses his authority, and their elected superiors cover for them.
