Most Republicans today would applaud if our entire country went under.

I truly believe that.

They have some sort of perverse thought that government does not include we, the people. Or that we, the people, might also include them? Government is the enemy. They have memorized Ronald Reagan's words about "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you". Government, to them, is just a bunch of liberals sucking up all their tax dollars.

I believe they do not see government as legitimate so therefore if they can find a way to give money to their friends in the form of taxcuts or military contracts or farm subsidies or even, if they outright steal the money from the government, then it is all perfectly OK with them. They live the lie.

They honestly do not understand why we would have any type of social contract with our friends or communities. Many are under the illusion that they could survive without anyone else. They want to make sure they do not miss out on a penny of their deserved and hard-earned Social Security, Medicare, or veteran's pension.

Also, they believe that Democrats buy poor people's votes by giving them welfare and food stamps. They seem to be incapable of understanding that the poorest states in this country are in the South and most of them are all very Republican. Obviously, the Democratic strategy is failing.

I see little true patriotism in them. They are mostly fake patriots. But I don't think they have always been like this. This is the end result of years and years of propaganda and indoctrination. They are not trustworthy. They are rather like skunks at a picnic... But you knew that already.

Yes Kentuck gets more stupid every year.
Seriously if I was applauding our entire country going under, I would be so pro 0bama I could post at DU freely. The man has done nothing but chip away at this country, and those applauding us going under are the DUmmies.

11. Believing America is in decline does not mean they have no faith in government, in my opinion...

They simply think the present government is failing us or has already failed and that we need a different government. I hope they still believe in the principle of government? I don't think the Republicans believe in any government? They say "smaller government" but they say they want "to drown it in a bathtub"... But, good point.

That's what you get for trying to think. This notion that we want no government is absurd, if you want to know what kind of government we want, read the Constitution and eliminate all the imaginary things that leftists claim are in it, and you will see what kind of government we want.

...so they can try to form the fascist state they hold so dear. FDR knew exactly what they were up to back in 1940.

How exactly do we pull off a fascist state if we don't want any government? You really need to make up your minds, are we fascists or are we anarchists? We can't be both.

23. Yes, they would. See, Rush Limbaugh 'I hope he fails.'

He'd rather the country failed than a Liberal succeed.

No it's because he doesn't want the country to fail that he said he wants 0bama to fail.
The point of that statement was if 0bama succeeds then the country fails, and he was right.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Really Dummie? Funny that. Most Repubs have served and put their ass on the line for this country while you ****wads denigrate it and speak truth to power.

And I understand that rural states are for the most part poorer than the liberal ones. That is the nature of the beast. Rural areas do tend to not make as much per capita as more populated areas. The costs are not as high either. I can buy a pound of ground round for $2.50 a pound here. How much can you buy a pound of ground round in NYC? I can get a small apartment around here for around $250. How much is it in NYC?

I'm sure I do not make half of what someone of a comparable position would make in NCY or LA. I don't have half their costs either.

Your argument is a typical liberal one... stupid.

Yes, because liberal success depends on Rush Limbaughs' enthusiastic approval.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Not at all...they just wouldn't be terribly surprised, given Obama's leadership and the Reid-orchestrated constipation in the Senate that keeps them from being able to do anything to fix it.  Now Juan McCain, he might be surprised, but then he's not really a Republican, let alone a Conservative.

Notice here that the text opens referring to the 'country' and then continues by talking about the 'government' - this is the central problem of leftists, they cannot see the difference between the two.

If by "going under" you mean replacement of the cradle-to-grave entitlement system and get back to LIMITED (not "NO") GOVERMENT where people had nobody to blame for their success or failures except that face looking them in the mirror, then yeah, I'd be applauding.

So what's your point, DUmmies?

Rush predicted this misinterpretation.    :thatsright:
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Sadly, 0bama did NOT fail. He burned up a trillion dollars we borrowed for his stimulus that did nothing other than give unions billions. He succeeded in 0bama HellCare and now we lose hundreds of thousands of full time jobs every single month. He has succeeded in regulating coal and "necessarily making electric rates skyrocket." He has succeeded in more than doubling the people on food stamps. He has succeeded in running trillion dollar plus deficits every year in office.

0bama success = USA failure

Detroit was a leftist's wet dream. all democrat party control for 60+ years. Not just that but black democrat party control. All union control for 80+ years. Highest paid teachers in the nation. Best paid city workers with lavish retirements. A high minimum wage. High CITY income tax. More taxes than you can shake a stick at. In short, Detroit was everything that 0bama and his merry band of grifters wants and is doing to the USA.

AND. IT. ALL. FAILED.

Just like socialism always does.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
