Looking at your post, you claim your home was condemned by the city of Chicago. Was it really your home, or did you simply take over a building--that did not belong to you. I'm betting you're not telling the complete story here.

Besides, Occupy does not believe in private property, all property belongs to the state to be given or taken away as the state pleases. That's one of your platforms, is it not?

It's NOT your home. The building was foreclosed by the bank. Your only claim was a lease.
Bottom line: a lease does not overide non-payment of bills.

The owner financed the building through a bank. that means he has to pay the bank. If you don't pay, the bank will take back the property, end of story. The rules will not change just because you showed up.
If you borrow money, you have to pay it back. Its a truth as old as time.

I watched the video. I do not agree with the OWS protests, but I do agree with a person's rights to hold such protests in a peaceful manner. It looked like the yard was neat and orderly and that sucks the house was boarded up.

I am an Illinois native. At one time I had a job in which I had to visit the Chicago office one day a month. I tackled the two hour commute and I still find Chicago an amazing city with so much to see and do. All big cities seem to find corruption and so do a few small ones. Too much government in my opinion creates the problems.

I have great memories of Chicago with great friends. From school trips, family trips and baseball and football games. I am not even a sports fan but something about Wrigley Field is just amazing.

How would the 2nd amendment have protected you against a legal foreclosure? You took over an abandoned building that did not belong to you. I only have your word that you were paying a lease on it. Occupiers are famous for taking property that doesn't belong to them.
