Well.......is it smoking, drugs, booze or hormones causing that?
I have it on medical authority that when one reaches middle age, having drank too much and smoked too much, it changes the voice, weakens it. Apparently it's noticeable.
I may actually have a friend who, without knowing it, is confirming this.
I've known him since the late 70's. All that time he's always smoked. Drunk to excess, etc.... It's led to a rather un-glorious life. He's probably been through, spent recklessly actually, well over a million dollars....
cash, on booze (Scotch is a fav), women (the kind that take your money and run), etc. He now has nothing to show for it. Except for one thing. When he occasionally calls me, his voice has changed. It's now whispy, and weak sounding. Might be an explaination?
