Yep.  Based at Yuma, now, I believe.  The last I knew, they were still flying A-4Ms.  Yuma is almost all AV-8s these days.

And they are loud, especially when they do rolling takeoffs ten feet above your head while you're trying sleep after a 12 hour shift on watch in CIC.  :banghead:

We carry helicopters, harriers and ospreys as an LHD does not have the launch/arrest systems that a carrier has. We have a well deck that can recover small craft up to and including LCAC's.
