The article goes on to list the five ways the prosecution blew it.
1) The special prosecutor jammed the charges through.
2) They should have asked for manslaughter from the start.
3) Prosecution witnesses seemed poorly prepared.
4) The scream.
5) The prosecutor allowed Trayvon Martin to be put on trial.

taught to do when they are being followed by an adult stranger who then gets close enough to them to trigger fear of being grabbed or harmed?

What do child safety officers who go into schools teach these kids to do from grade school through high school?

Fight, punch, kick at the adult stranger in hopes that he will find the young person too difficult to victimize and leave the area promptly.

I seriously doubt little Trayvon ever listened in school...

get at least a little emotional distance from it.

But I did see the post-verdict press conferences and I'm hard pressed to say which was creepier, this DA with her simpering smile or the older defense attorney (West?) snarling that the prosecution was 'disgraceful' while O'Mara looked on smilingly.

Frelling idiot.  Kids are taught to run away , scream and make as much noise as possible to draw attention.  That is exactly what Zimmerman did when the thug coldcocked him and got him on the ground to pound his head on the sidewalk.  When no help came, George defended himself the only way he could, with the equalizer.

The thing is, and I'm not saying anything that everyone here does not know, the DU is the biggest collection of folkes that is so willing to lie to themselves.

Lie to each other, willfully ignore anything that does not adhere to the groupthink.

Pittstain (I think) recently referred to the DUmp as a think tank but as ridiculous as that thought is I think that there is a kernel of truth to it.

It's like a sand blaster of sorts, or rather a giant food fight.

Facts are about #6 or so on the list of important things, the most important thing is produce some kind of meme (I hate that word) that they think might get some traction, truth be damned.

I think that's true. Everything in Trayvon's record is fair game in a civil trial.

If Trayvon hadn't met up with Zimmerman then, it was only a matter of time before he met the same fate at someone else's hands.

Yes but in the mean time Saint Skittles would have been hospitalized of killed a lot of innocent people. No_Limit_Nigga was on the path to prison and that was black culture, his parent's, and leftist white guilt's fault.

Imagine some white teenager walking down a sidewalk at night. He notices a black man walking about half a block behind him, and he turns on his heel, runs back to him and commences pounding is head into the concrete because, in his words, he was scared of the "creepy-ass ******". The howls of "racism" and cries for public execution would be so loud you could hear them all the way to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Al Sharpton's processed hair would spontaneously combust. Jesse Jackson would be extorting more money from local businesses than the Gambini crime family. And DU would be calling for a nationwide ban on cement walkways.
