The people who applaud the outcome of the Zimmerman verdict would be outraged if Zimmerman were responsible for shooting a 25 week old fetus. But a 17 year old black man?
NO OUTRAGE. The outrage from this group is that Zimmerman was charged in the first place.
It is sad that a 25 week old fetus has more protections than a 17 year old black man in America today.But like I've always said, Regressive Republicans think life begins at conception and ends at birth. Especially if you are black in America. If Trayvon Martin was a 25 week old fetus, George Zimmerman would have been convicted.
You hear the Religious Right and the Regressive Right go on and on adinfinitum about protecting a 20 week old fetus. Laws peddled by Regressive Republicans abound and are on the agenda in every Regressive Republican State in America.
One thing I've observed in the past 10 years or so and that observation is this:
Don't try to change a Regressive. Ain't gonna happen. It's ingrained in the psyche of the Regressive. Jesus Christ, the son of God couldn't change Regressives of his day and the Regressives hung him on a cross.
So what chance have I.
A 17 year old black man is murdered and the good folk who would protect the rights of the fetus before the fetus is a flesh and bone human have NOTHING to say when the fetus as a flesh and bone human is murdered.
Except be outraged that charges against the murderer are ever brought up. This is tragic, but is the very reason I find the Regressive Right comical.
Protect a 20 week old fetus and applaud the murder of a 17 year old black man.
Indeed a tragedy.
But not surprising.

If the stories you tell yourself about Trayvon were true, then I would be calling for Zimmerman to be in prison. Trayvon is the one responsible for his death, if he had just gone home and not tried to bust open the cracker's head all would have been fine.

2. Hmmmm....
Maybe they don't realize that some fetuses are black? And are probably going to be criminals and "thugs"... maybe we need to point that out to them, that by all of their anti-abortion bullshit laws that they are, in fact, saving black lives too - that actually might change their tune. For some reason, I think when they get all up in arms about an innocent fetus being "murdered" that they picture all of those fetuses as little white fetuses...
No we be stupid and think that all babies are white.
If you paid attention DUmmies to what we say, we talk about how abortion impacts the black community. If we were the racists that you claim we are wouldn't be trying to open a planned parenthood clinic in every black neighborhood? Wouldn't we be cheering for Kermit Gosnell and all the little black babies that he killed, and all the black women he injured and killed?

5. Human lives ALWAYS have value.
I thought Zimmerman was probably guilty at first, but then I heard the actual details in the court case. Zimmerman ended up on his back. According to live witnesses, he was screaming for help. Meanwhile, the star witness (Trayvon's friend on the phone) got discredited.
At the most, this was manslaughter. Even then, there was reasonable doubt in my opinion.
Guys, Zimmerman once took up for a black man who he said got beaten up by cops.

6. Considering Zimmerman started the altercation - this is almost undisputed - it should've been
manslaughter at the least. Not to mention that his injuries were hardly consistent with having his head slammed on the pavement, what, 25 times or whatever ridiculous number he claimed. Someone who'd had their head bashed that many times would be either dead or comatose.
And RE: my previous comment, I was simply pointing out that the same right-wing assholes who accuse liberals of "black genocide" or something equally slanderous for supporting reproductive rights, don't seem to place much value on the lives of black (usually male) teenagers. Because apparently they all become dangerous criminals once they hit puberty...
No DUmmy, only the ones who are dangerous criminals are considered so. You honestly can't comprehend that we judge people based on their actions not their skin color. We don't see a white kid beating up someone and excuse him because he is white. If he is going all Trayvon on someone and gets shot then he deserves it just as much as Trayvon did.
