So funny, my grandfather served on the Mexican Border in WW1 and told me this story. Deming NM.

The cowboy boots with the pointed toe was invented by the Mexicans so they could smash  cocker roaches in the corners of a room.

Yah well he came home with a few scars and some lead under the skin.    He as a French Man did not take kindly to anyone of any race that shot him.
