So, I was in the house watching the analysis of the verdict when I heard the sound of fireworks outside. I went out to see what was going on. It was a group of old white men that was shooting off the fireworks in what I thought was celebration of the verdict. I was wrong. They were a group of Trayvon supporters that were stunned and saddened by the verdict but they told me that they weren't going to lie down and take it--they were going to do something about it. They had a theory and they thought that they could prove that Zimmerman had executed Trayvon in cold blood. They had built models of Trayvon and Zimmerman out of chicken wire and concrete blocks and were in the process of firing skyrockets from one model into the other to represent gunshots when I interrupted them. I stuck around and watched for a while but one of the old white guys told me that I should leave since observing an experiment has an effect on the phenomenon being observed and since they were all serious about science they wanted the results of their experiments to be unimpeachable. They told me that they would publish their findings tomorrow, that I should check the DU Greatest Threads page.
