I don't know.  Perhaps the prosecution was too busy packing it with women and forgot.

Of course, being the idealistic, optimistic sort that I am - quit yer laughing, Thor - I was leaning in the direction of "because it's supposed to be a jury of the DEFENDANT'S peers, and not a lynch mob of the "victim's" homies", but I admit yours is likely the more plausible of the two.

It is puzzling that this jury appears to be free of 0bamaites.

It isn't that they aren't smart enough. After all, this jury is composed of the only six women in Florida so stupid they'd never heard of Zimmerman before being called to jury duty.

I doubt any of them are as smart as Rachel Jeantel.

Plus, if you judge by TV commercials, you would swear that the nation is at least 50% black.

One of the women on the jury is as "African American' as our current president and as Hispanic as Mr. Zimmerman.

On the news this AM they did a breakdown of the jury and 1 person was listed as "black/hispanic".
