LinkWhen I first heard of this "march" it sounded like something cooked up by liberals to make gun owners and NRA look bad. Conservatives would never consider an idea this stupid. Am I right.....?

*snicker* Gun-rights activist Adam Kokesh arrested in Herndon
what a prat. gotta say though, it seems like the ever more often cop overkill; did they really need a helicopter?
Police searched the Northern Virginia home of libertarian activist Adam Kokesh Tuesday evening and took him into custody, according to a news release posted on Kokesh’s Web site.
Kokesh, a former Marine, was being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, charged with possession of schedule I and II drugs while in possession of a firearm, said Lt. Steve Elbert, a spokesman for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office.
The search warrant was served by U.S. Park Police, a federal agency that is responsible for policing Freedom Plaza, the park on Pennsylvania Avenue NW where Kokesh was videotaped loading a shotgun, in violation of local gun laws, according to a YouTube video posted on July 4.
“We will not be silent. We will not obey,†Kokesh, an Iraq war veteran and Internet talk show host, says in the video. “We will not allow our government to destroy our humanity. We are the final American Revolution. See you next Independence Day.â€

2. Zimmmerman... Kokesh... Simcox... Nugent... Gun rightists have ****ed up posterboys. nt
Interesting choice of words, "posterboys." I think perhaps he was the posterboy for someone else's cause, too.
The rest of the comments following just crucify the guy. Mocking the hell out of him. Why, you'd get the impression he's one of those repulsive rethuglicans.
But what cali declines to mention is the Kokesh is a
member of the Iraq veterans against the war. A group completely worshipped by the primitives during the Bush years because they ran around the country calling Bush and Cheney war criminals.
LinkLinkLinkLinkLinkAnd there's hundreds more links with Kokesh as the greatest, most patriotic person ever.

Adam Kokesh Demands Impeachment
On March 19, 2008, in front of the White House, anti-war activist Adam Kokesh, of the IVAW, demanded the impeachment of President George W. Bush and V.P. Dick Cheney. He accused the duo of engaging in "criminal" conduct in violation of their respective oaths of office. He was joined at the spirited rally by fellow members and supporters of the IVAW, and other veteran groups as well. For background, see http://ivaw.org/index.html.

9. Adam is a total hunk. And he apparently has his feet firmly on the ground.
He knows right from wrong.
Good for you, Adam. Thanks for reminding all of us what being an American is all about.

Meet Iraq veteran Adam Kokesh, the new mouthpiece of the anti-war movement
When Cindy Sheehan called it quits in May, her seat was barely cold when the peace movement hoisted its replacement trophy aloft: a younger, more photogenic mouthpiece with unimpeachable credentials. Marine Corporal Adam Kokesh, a decorated Iraq war vet, was already in the middle of a nasty dispute with his military superiors over a protest he had attended, the details of which only further endeared him to the cause. Within weeks, the unknown soldier from New Mexico had metamorphosed, as Wonkette put it, into "the Pentagon's biggest public relations nightmare."
At five feet ten inches, 205 pounds, Kokesh is no pantywaist hippie. He's built more like your prototypical killing-machine, which goes a long way in explaining his appeal to the mainstream media as an antiwar provocateur. Thrust onto the national stage—including appearances on Good Morning America and Paula Zahn Now—the embattled reservist appears to be awed by his newfound fame. And he doesn't take the responsibility lightly.
"I'm a vet and that gives me some unique credibility. No one can say we're cowards or traitors or don't know what we're talking about," he says. "There's power in that platform. I have a moral imperative to be doing this."
Naturally, it's taken some time for Kokesh to adjust to his new roll. He's still mystified by the idea that there's a Wikipedia entry in his name. But he seems to have the right perspective
proud2Blib knows this guy pretty well. Wonder if she'll defend her buddy against the hive.

Our weekend with Adam Kokesh part 1
Adam Kokesh is an Iraq War veteran who has been ordered to appear in Kansas City for a hearing where it will be determined if he should lose his honorable discharge. Adam’s offense is wearing his uniform to an anti-war rally in March. Two other vets have also been warned not to wear their uniforms and they came to Kansas City with Adam, along with a busload of reporters, lawyers and supporters.
We found a campground for the group to stay and went out there ahead of the bus and set it up.
We put up several signs, welcoming Adam and the vets. And a few others.
As we were putting up tents, a car drove by slowly. There were 2 men in the car. They looked at all of our signs and then drove off. About 15 minutes later, the campground manager came by and said they had a complaint about one of our signs. The complainer had reported we had a cutout of bush with his genitals showing, and he was hanging on a noose. Then the manager walked over and looked at dubya hanging there and said well it didn’t really look like the president. And he could see he was wearing briefs.
“It’s the nooseâ€, the manager said.
The he told us he was a navy vet and he thought what the marines were doing to Adam was horrible. And he wished us a pleasant evening and drove off.
So we took dubya down but left the noose up.
The manager’s wife came by and she said she had been a part of the protest movement back in the 60s and she really admired what we were doing. And she thanked us for taking down the president. (And she giggled.) Then she said for our safety she had called the park ranger and the county sheriff. And we should call 911 if we had any trouble.
The tents were all up by dark and most of the group left. Three of us and the dog stayed. We decided to go get some food for the bus riders to have when they arrived. So two of the group went into town for groceries. The dog and I stayed to watch the campground.
Pretty soon, the park ranger drove up. She introduced herself and walked around the campground and checked it out. Then she said she thought we should know that we had scared the campground manager and his wife. I asked why and she said well as she looked around she didn’t really see anything to be afraid of. Then she said “well you have signs but they are just . . . signsâ€.
Then she wished me good evening and left. Twice more before the guys got back from the store, the county sheriff drove by.
While the bus was making its way across the country, Good Morning America contacted Adam and the other vets and wanted them to appear this morning on the air. So they spent the night at a hotel and were interviewed at 6am this morning.

Then they came out to the campsite. Here is a picture of Adam being interviewed this morning by Geoff Millard of Truthout. They are sitting in front of the Troops Home Now bus. Adam said the neatest thing while I was taking pictures. He said that even if the ruling tomorrow is against him and he loses his honorable discharge, he will have won because he values his freedom of speech more than his honorable discharge.

1. Thank you, proud, for being there and keeping us updated. Let
Adam know he has a lot of support from most of us please!
Not so much any more, LOL! I love it when their demi gods crash like Scott Ritter, the pedophile. Now it looks like Kokesh is a paulbot and a pothead. NOT a conservative.
