 One side feels they can criticize him and the other side not.

And thinking back on it it seem to start when we were told by his administration that the professional left should STFU.
And then came the process of getting us to accept what we used to hate...namely torture at Gitmo, a state of permanent war and fear, and the righteousness of Wall Street bankers and the dirtiness of Occupy Wall Street.

And now the big divide...you are ether with Obama or against him...odd don't you think that a Bush saying has taken root among us and is flowering within our midst?
And even gotten some of us to accept a surveillance state out of fear of being on the against side.

If we lose the next election it will be because we divided ourselves and made the less political people just through up their hands and walk away from all of us.
And those people may have a point.

I'm sensing a great purge not unlike the Hillary purge of 08 at the DUmp. This time it will be purging anybody that does not drop to their knees when 0 says anything no matter how stupid or against the hive mind.

This is all done, as Frank points out, to keep the craziest of the crazy there and not out and about with decent and civilized people.

No he doesn't, unless you refer to one push poll that's been making the rounds. (puts his approval at something like 83% of Dems with about 8% disapproving)

If you look at polling data about Obama's programs and policies, you'll find quite a bit more disapproval. To sum it up, Democrats like Obama the man, and dislike Obama the politician.

I keep waiting for a big purge, but it seems like the three stooges that make up ownership there have checked out. I think they allow all this because it generates page views. It seems they have far fewer posters than they did at one time.

Yup. DU is now a pretty naked cash-grab. All the owners seem to do is keep it online.

And I don't blame them at all.

If Skinner et al had been a bit smarter, they could've kept it under control while still allowing healthy debate. This was bound to happen - after all, DUmmies are used to complaining to moderators/admin and getting people banned. Now many of the DUmmies have no idea how to reasonably debate policy w/o betraying their worship status of Obama.  Bunch of Pavlovian dogs over there.
