Recital is over, and we all survived!

My daughter did great...I'm very proud of her.  They gave out awards after Sunday's perfomance, and she won the ballet award for her level!

So, here are some pictures...they did Sleeping Beauty, and she was also in 2 tap numbers and a jazz/hip hop one.  The jazz theme was holidays.  Her hip/hop was for MLK Jr Day, and there w ere some parent' who were offended, thinking the girls were making fun of black people  :whatever:.  I loved the dance, myself.


OK...ballet first:

And this was the MLK dance...she's the  one sitting, but I love this picture!!!!


and this was her solo spot...she was the only one d anceing...everyone else was looking at her...



And the last dance...a tap


the final pose...just looks cool to me and I wanted to share  (she's in the front row, center)




Thanks for looking everyone....although by now I'm sure you are sick of pics of her!!  :-)

My daughter is a few years behind yours, she's just now training for on-point. The pics are great!

Ok flame, I am not trying to suck up, but she has true stage presence and form..... You can especially see it in the second picture. Her lines are exquisite.

oh....one other thing I wanted to brag about....she got STRAIGHT A's, baby!  Yes, she even pulled an A out in math...her nemesis!!!  With all the traveling/practicing, everything else she's been doing since April, she got straight A's!  Woohoo!
