A video posted yesterday on YouTube shows the grisly shooting of a dog by a police officer in Hawthorne, California.

The 130-pound, 3-year-old Rottweiler named Max was shot to death after he escaped through a window in a parked car and ran over to his master, Leon Rosby, who was being arrested for filming the scene on his phone.

The video (watch original on YouTube) shows Rosby, 52, walking his dog Sunday around 7 p.m. near a house with several police squad cars parked outside.

He didn't interfere. From what the video shows, the jack-booted thug had to goose-step 30-50 yards away from the "crime scene" in order to arrest the budding filmmaker. The cop was doing it for no other purpose than to intimidate everybody there. IMHO, the thugs all need to be looking at the other side of a jail cell for a few years. If karma has any say, somebody'll drop the dime to a buddy in their pod that they're cops, and then hell on earth can begin in earnest for them.

This breaks my heart, of all the dogs I have had in my life time was my Rottie.  The sweetest and best dog that ever owned me.

Now I have owned small dogs that were nasty, Owned a couple of Dobermans that were great with the kids, but the most wonderful dog was my Rottie that guarded us, protected us and never was a problem to family or friends.   Just a big old lurker, hung out watching out for us and drove me nuts as when in the bath tub she would come in and try to catch my rubber ducky.

She has been gone 6 years now but I get all teared up when I see someone walking their Rottie.  Wonder if they know what or how much devotion that wonderful beast will give them ???

I never agreed with the no filming police laws. Perhaps after this tragedy more people will agree.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Neither does the Supreme Court (FWIW). Apparently these bastards with badges acknowledge no authority but their own, however.
