People line up for half-mile to get free 30-round ammo magazines before Colorado ban

Thousands of people lined up in Colorado on Saturday for the chance to get free 30-round gun magazines before they're banned by a new state law.

This is just so ****ing stupid. 1500 are being given away. I guess these folks really think the zombie apocalypse is going to happen.

3. You may wish to consider this as a demonstration...

protesting the unworkable ban just passed. There was another post re this topic wherein it was explained a simple modification can be made to existing -- and LEGAL -- magazines, resulting in capacities exceeding the capacity this legislation has set. Of course, attempts were made by controllers to "HIDE" this thread, as if no one knew about such mechanical tricks.

And in this thread, it was explained how grandfathered mags could be ordered on-line.

So why the half-mile line? Probably for the same reason you had MANY half-mile lines at gun shows across the nation: These people are making a public and vigorous statement to politicians and controllers that gun-owners are on notice and are not the least bit shamed, side-lined, or stigmatized. If I am correct, these demonstrations would be instructive to anyone interested in American politics.

It was said after Sandy Hook that the debate over guns had fundamentally changed. Boy, that's the truth. NEVER have I seen such a phenomenon. Expect to see more of it.

What...we have controllers now?

Gee you would think the DUmmies, of all people, would understand lining up for miles to get something for free.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Magpul gave a giant **** you to gun haters. I love it.

Also still moving out of state.

How are the recall petitions going? I would assume that there is a half mile long line of new signatures today.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Never know, a almost life long friend called me from Colorado.  Had not spoken to them in 30 years.

Kind of odd as we were speaking he said he had a license for Pot, to buy or grow I do not know.

I was most stunned that he was still alive, he called me on his 70 the birth day just to say I still love you.
So me being who I am asked if he had a CCW license and this poor old man from my past got a bit upset over why he would need one.

He will find out, firkin Marine when I met him in 1965 and then a real up standing man,  has become in the years gone by, he is a Total Liberal and very sad.

He was ---- He was a conservative until he went to college, North Western and came out a flaming Gay
but I have to ask myself if this was the reason I suspected was within him and caused me to marry another man.

Poor old man, I wonder if he is OK up there with the wild fires and when the crazy collectors come to pilfer his family belongs due to the fire, will he then when the thugs kick him out of his wheel chair remember he asked me, why do I NEED A GUN.

Then he became a democrat.
