Man snatches toddler in grocery store, holds knife to her neck, is shot dead by police


this is one case where I have no problem whatsoever with the police shooting the guy dead.

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- A man was shot and killed after he snatched a 2-year-old girl out of a shopping cart and held her hostage in an Oklahoma grocery store.

The man removed the child from the shopping cart, held a knife to her and made crazy demands.

Officers spent 30 minutes negotiating with the man.

An officer shot the man in the head at point-blank range when he pulled the knife closer to the girl’s throat.

I guess my first question would be WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH YOU?! My second would be: Do you, a ban hammer, granite pizza fearing member of Democratic Underground believe in God? If so, you still don't just put your faith in the fact that He is not going to let things spin as they may; as He has set out in His plan. If not, STFU. FAITH IN PEOPLE is what was shown here. The cop should get a medal. Oh, and the faith in people bit is THROUGH GOD, you jackwagon.

I guess all I got to say to the dummy above is this: What if it would have been your kid?   Been my kid and I would have been there the negotiations would have gone like this:

Me: Let her go, walk away!
Perp: No I ain't doing...
 

If I wasn't there and the cops did it... then they would eat and drink free at whatever place they wanted to go and I would rent a Limo and drive them there myself.

I think this post is a reference to the killing of saint Skittles. My take is he is sarcastically comparing the actions of the cop to the actions of the creepy ass cracker who shot the cute little tyke.

The child was clearly going to be murdered otherwise.

Yeah but he used a gun, and I thought guns were bad. Shouldn't the kid just have vomited or pissed on himself? Maybe the grocery store needs to make it a kidnap free zone. Think of how many abductions we could stop if we just made all public places kidnap free zones.

If that was my kid I'd want the cops to do the same thing. The child had to be protected.

That's what is wrong with you idiots, even when it comes to your own children you will happily wait and let someone else deal with it. If someone tried to grab my child I would stop him, not wait for the police.

could then approve of a law-abiding home owner shooting an armed intruder in their home.

Or approve of a rape victim owning a firearm in her home to deter another attack.

Or approve of law-abiding home owners to own firearms in their homes to deter unwanted criminals.

I know of one particular DUer that does not even want local cops to carry guns. I'm sure glad they do carry.

I sure hope the little girl's hearing was not damaged.

  Jesus....it mystifies me the things these people say. This DUmb **** is already looking at a way to get some greenbacks. Doesn't even matter a little girl's life was saved by Officer Hero.
