Thanks, it has been a slow one so far. That is a good thing by the way.

Have a great day!!!!

I talked to my Pop earlier. Found out he's finally retiring at the end of the year. He's been with his employer my entire life (actually right before my birth). It's kind of surreal to think of him not working there. But, I'm glad that he'll be free to come and visit more often!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I hope everyone's having a great time with their dads.  I'll be calling my dad shortly, as I know he's at lunch right now.

I also need to call my brother-in-law, as today is his FIRST Father's Day.  :)

To all the dad's out in the CC world:

My own dad is recovering well from his surgeries.  I'll take him out to a special dinner later on.

Spent the afternoon at my 6-year-old daughter's dance recital. They hold it every year on Father's Day. The highlight of the show for me is the annual "Daddy Daughter Dance." The dads take classes with the daughters and put on a dance number. My daughter and I have a blast. Dads dread it until they see how happy it makes their girls.

Afterwards, we went to dinner, where I had many, many beers.

All in all, a pretty good day!  :-)

God never changes.

God alone suffices.
