I believe there is more to obesity then just eating.

Why can some people pack in 2,000 calories twice a day and stay slim and trim and others eat 1,000 calories a day gain weight  ?

Gut bacteria is interesting, oldest son had it bad with ulcers.    Before they tracked down the cause of the ulcers he found that eating a bowl of raisin bran for breakfast really helped.   Just one brand other brands did nothing for him.

When I get indigestion I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, old time home remedy, and in 20 minutes the pain is gone.

Today's theory is bad bacteria cannot survive in an acid environment.   Then the theory that the acid stimulates the out put in Peptides causing them to produce more to coat the stomach.   Those antacids, Tums for one just do the job that our sluggish
glands should be doing and they slow way down, a good shot of acid wakes them up, sort of like fighting fire with fire.

May I ask which brand ?

At work today, I overheard a co-worker say, "I wish I could eat healthy, but you need money to have someone cook you healthy meals."  ::)

I guess cooking your own healthy meals is just way too much work.

Some people metabolize a lot quicker than others. Don't know why. Ask a healthcare professional. I eat everything in site and drink like a fish and have never been over 195 at 5'11". I also stopped running the day before 27Apr00.

Nadin and her doctor agree that she's at her ideal weight.

Sometimes.  ;)

We both have our own specialties.  I'm starting the family out on a Mediterranean diet soon, so I'll be doing almost all of the cooking at that point.

A nice light Mediterranean dinner sounds great.

And then afterward you can make a run to Outback.

Same here Rebel... except I'm 6'3" and 210. I was so daggone skinny back in the day that it was hard to find pants to fit me.  Weighed 160 until I hit 32. Put another 20 until I hit 38. Was good until I hit 40 and then put on about 5 pounds every other year until I hit my current weight.

<------Has extremely high metabolism, is pretty buff, and worked out if you've seen me, takes in 3000 calories, and am a petite 135, unfortunately. If I could at least gain 20lbs, it'd be muscle.

You ain't got cancer, gNads. You ain't even got the disease known as alcoholism. However, you do have a lack of self restraint, and that's the only problem here. I'm a raging alcoholic. Solution: I now know that I must not drink ONE DROP! You are a fat bitch. Solution....

STOP EATING SO MUCH, you victim, you!!

Libs are not good at getting hints.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Bingo!
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
