I had some Sweet Silver Queen corn straight out of the garden for supper. Yum, Yum.

BTW...I eat it side to side.

The best corn on the cob I ever had was steamed in the shuck in a barrel.....just pull the shuck back and use it for a handle, butter, salt and pepper it...chow down.

Actually this time around, I cooked it in the microwave (in the shuck) for 4-5 minutes. It was excellent!

Me too - it's the only way.  Too bad I didn't learn this trick till just a few years ago.  I run the whole cob under water for a minute, then it steams in the microwave for 4 mins.  Then (very easily) turn down the leaves and corn silk into the perfect handle.   :-)

I've never heard of that way but it sounds like the grill method, in tinfoil, while still husked -I will try it

Cooked in sugar water, then covered in butter with lots of pepper and a bit of salt.

side to side.... but I use those little pick thingies you stick in each end..

Will sometimes wrap in wax paper and do in microwave if I'm only doing a couple of ears.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

I do the same.   :cheersmate:  However, most of the time I cut it off the cob because I cook for people that don't like eating corn on the cob.
