A new 253-page Obamacare rule issued late Friday requires state, federal and local agencies as well as health insurers to swap the protected personal health information of anybody seeking to join the new health care program that will be enforced by the Internal Revenue Service.

Protected health information, or PHI, is highly protected under federal law, but the latest ruling from the Department of Health and Human Services allows agencies to trade the information to verify that Obamacare applicants are getting the minimum amount of health insurance coverage they need from the health "exchanges."

With thousands of people being able to access your information, does anyone really believe their medical records are going to be protected?

It looks like they have already exchanged our info between the likes of Google etc -privacy is lost till people stop using those services

There is some hidden directive that will be the equivalent of motor voter. The libs will come up with some kind of tricky nickname for it. Something like surgery registry. The nice part for lib leadership is by accessing your medical records to register you, they will have built in leverage to persuade you to be a reliable voter.

Seems to me they do that now, and have for some time.  Under a loophole commonly called "Continuity of Care."
