Pic Of The Moment: Sen. Ron Johnson Explains The GOP Approach To Governing

Ron Johnson: 'Restoring faith in government' is the 'wrong solution'

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017125444

A contrived post that attacks Senator Johnson for a perfectly reasonable quote about engendering a healthy distrust in government.

10. The Face of Extremism

Ron Johnson is the poster child of how the GOP has ****ed up this country since the "Contract on America" in 1994. This is why Bob Dole thinks the Republican Party has lost it collective mind. Johnson is also a shining reminder that when anyone votes for a current Republican, they are voting for obstructionism and for a party that will NEVER cooperate in fixing any of the problems the nation and the world face.

13. And to think, he IS Goverment!

And he's getting all his cushy perks and benefits, whilst complaining and trying to stir the pot of Domestic Terrorism.

21. And this is the Dick

who took over Russ Fiengolds WI Senate seat............................It boggles the mind!

All that hate over an innocuous quote?  Doubtful.

I think that the DUmmies are still smarting over Senator Johnson goading Hillary into beclowning herself at the Benghazi hearings.

I can't think of a healthier thing in the cause of freedom than a vigorous distrust of government. That should be a common quality in every citizen regardless of one's vision of the role of government. In typical DUmmy fashion, however, the sentiment has to be mischaracterized as a longing for anarchy, and no amount of logic in the world is going to dissuade them once the spin machine starts rolling.

18. This is so true.

It seems that today, being smart, disqualifies you from office in most instances but being a blithering idiot is golden.

That explains why Joe Biden and Barrack 0bama are in office.

2. 'healthy distrust?' Really?

I don't believe there's anything healthy about distrust.

That's because you don't have the mental capability to understand what it means.
I shall try to explain DUmmy, it's like when 0bama and Pelosi swore up and down that 0bamacare would lower premiums, if you had a healthy distrust you would have realized they are full of shit. Instead you trust any bozo with a D next to their name.

11. Distrust of government is healthy for the GOP.

As in, "don't expect government to solve problems, because we sure aren't planning to."

But distrust of government is not only healthy, it is the very reason we have three branches theoretically marshaled by checks and balances, and the very reason we have elections.

The kind of distrust the GOP foments is the opposite of healthy. It's superstition rather than skepticism.

You distrust the people to solve their own problems and think government needs to solve everyone's problems. Is your distrust of the people the opposite of healthy as well?

If he disgusts you then that tells me he must be a decent civilized man. Odds are good if DUmmies hate a person, that person is a decent civilized person, with few exceptions.

9. It's exactly because of politicians like Johnson that people DON'T trust the govt. nt

It's obvious what he's doing here, he's trying to be clever.

But because he's such a ****ing moron, the only level of cleverness that he can achieve is irony.

That's right, Ron Johnson is moronically ironic. At least he's accomplished something.

0bama has done an excellent job all by himself causing people not to trust him and not to trust the government. Add to it the shenanigans from Eric Holder, and it's no wonder we don't trust that bunch of liars.

20. We need a constitutional amendment to get these government hating Senators out of government.

Logically speaking you'd think these idiots that truly hate the government would want nothing to do with it.

Holding the government accountable for its actions is not hate of the government. You people are idiots.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Freeper posted the second comment in response to the one above.
It may be the most telling comments I've seen.  Freeper------  :cheersmate:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Ah, from the classic...
Say the following phrase 5 times as fast as you can
"Me smart fellow"
"You fellow smart"
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
