In my opinion, the Sandy Hook Massacre carried a higher emotional toll than 911

I'm not referring to the victim count or the number of family and friends directly affected by 911. I'm talking about the millions of Americans who cried for days and weeks following Sandy Hook. Many are still crying six months later. I don't recall seeing that same visceral reaction after 911. The sentiment following the 911 attacks, if I recall correctly, was fear, anger, shock, disbelief.

So why is it that our lawmakers were swift in concocting legislation related to 911, but weren't able to come together to make sure our nation never has to face another incident like what happened at Sandy Hook elementary again?

Well, I have sympathy for victims and families of both.  But there is no comparison.  Two completely different incidents.

It's a pointless thread, but there was one curious reply:

Really??   :loser:

Because some nut misused a gun is no reason to curtail the 2nd Amendment. That would be equivalent to banning air travel because of 911.

Well, 9-11 was twelve years ago.

Twelve years ago, half the DUmpmonkeys were in elementary school. Combine that with their generally weak intellect, and you can't have a lot of respect for their judgment of historic impact.

For most DUmmies, their earliest childhood memories are about American Idol Season 4.

It's like they are in some kind of contest to out stupid each other every single day.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I would like to ask fried eggs what legislation would have made sure that something like Sandy Hook never happened again?

Fried eggs would probably say just ban all guns.

Obama Tweeted about this today.  He's back on the anti-gun crap since everything else is a failure.

Tomorrow will be six months since #Newtown—and Congress still has done nothing to prevent gun violence. Those 26 families deserve better.

My reply:

@BarackObama The families of the victims of Benghazi and Fort Hood deserve better from you and your administration.

Wasn't there a thread where some of them revealed their ages and many of them were quite old?

Stupid ****ing Dummy.

Almost 12 years later, the memories and emotions of September 11, 2001 still bring good Americans to tears. 3,000 families have an empty chair at Christmas or Hannukah. Some of us still physically feel the anger and pain of that day. Thousands of Americans developed lung conditions, cancer, and persistent dermatitis from inhaling or contacting the dust cloud (human tissue, concrete dust, petrochemicals and other complex hydrocarbons, asbestos, and God knows what else).

Go **** yourself, DUmbshit.

Every time I see a pic of the twin towers with a huge gaping hole in them, I think of those people hanging on for dear life, outside of the building.

When I think of Sandy Hook, I think of stupid liberals and their false security in a gun free zone.

Liberal policies cause more death from coast to coast daily than any other two reasons combined.

He's trying to stop the hemorrhaging from his own base over the NSA.  I don't think it'll pan out for him.

Maybe it's just me but it seems that the most rabid gun grabbers are also the same idiots backing Obama on the NSA...

..'cause, you know,.they're fascists.

Be that as it may, it won't revive his image. The only people to cheer this will be his own cohort of brown shirts and he has proven that the "anti-government" types aren't as paranoid as the usurpers try to portray.

One word.
Christian.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Not to beat a dead horse, but you don't hear much lib sympathy for the almost daily killings of Christians by muslims.

Not a word. Ever.
Do not say anything that upsets the radical muzzies...... ever.
There is a man currently jailed, and blamed for the attack on Bengasi(sp).
He did have some other law issues, however, he is there as a scapegoat.
Kiss the muzzie ass.
I'm not prone to outrage. That one just gripes me.
