SOMEONE CUT THE LOCKS LEADING TO BOSTON’S PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY
Jun. 4, 2013 9:37am Liz Klimas

The padlocks to hatches of an aqueduct outside of Boston that supplies drinking water to the metropolitan area were found cut Monday, leading to local concerns after there was a trespassing incident last month as well. Officials say the drinking water does not appear to have been tampered with.

WBZ reported the incident occurring at the Hultman Aqueduct in Framingham, which is about 20 miles from Boston and is one of two lines that supplies drinking water. Three of the four padlocks at separate hatches each a half mile apart were found cut while the fourth had evidence of an attempt.

State police are investigating and said “there is no evidence of any crime other than vandalism,” the CBS affiliate stated.

Sounds like an attempt to check dilution rates of chemicals introduced to the system.

But, of course there's no possible way there could be any connection between this non-incident, and the non-incident of a few innocent, cherubic chemical engineering students from MooseLimb lands busted for trespassing. At midnight. At a Bahston area reservoir.

Why, to suggest that there might be a connection would be conspiracy theory lunacy.  :mental:

There was also a boat that went ashore near some nuke plant awhile back.

If there's one thing I've noted in my 13 years of testing drinking water, followed by 6 and a half years of valuing water treatment plants, it's that it will take a shitload of chemicals/microbes dumped into a muni water system to cause any real casualties.  As for actually disrupting the flow of the system, damaging/destroying water lines would be far more effective.

True.  Most of the people who come up with either plots or CTs about this really have no clue about the volumes, treatments, standards, or testing that are actually involved.
