LACOOCHEE, Fla. - A kangaroo that was on the run in Pasco County is being held in a pen after wildlife officers used a tranquilizer to stop him.

The sheriff's office, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, captured the kangaroo Sunday morning. The male kangaroo had been on the run since Saturday night and was spotted along the area of Lacoochee.

In Florida.  :lmao: :rotf:

He was just a hops, skip and a jump away from complete freedom.

In 1970 Mom and I were driving down the freeway in Hawaii.    We passed road kill it was a kangaroo and soon as we got home we called the Zoo.

Not one of ours they said all accounted for.   Well where did the darn thing come from.       History lesson 101.

Years ago some rich man brought to the island all kinds of exotic animals.  Some got loose and thrived in the Pauli. Every once in a while these animals showed up to surprise the natives and tourists alike.

The Mongoose was introduced so Oahu has no snakes.   But they do have scorpions that can endanger little kids.

So why would anyone want to take a wild animal, place them in a cage just for the fact they can do so ??

Some animals can give us hair , sheep, Alpacas and Lamas, Ostriches have their feathers and  even beef cows their hide.     But, what do you get from raising Lions ,Tigers, in a cage and they become insane from the captivity.

Poor beasts the cost to feed them and keep them is huge,   Sad-----they have done nothing wrong yet end up living their life out in worse conditions then a prisoner on death row.
