How illustrative. Not just the DU thread but here as well.
LFR is typical of the Proglodyte MO: decide you don't like something then use any rationale, no matter how facile, as an indictment.
The other Proglodytes like wind power so they defend it but they fail to see themselves in what she is doing. Sort of like when Nidal shot-up Ft Hood and they clucked "All those guns on an army post and it didn't do any good" as an attack on the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution that allows them to author their insipidness. Facts be damned, they rely on the audience's ignorance of gun control on military bases as part of their effort to impose gun control on the audience.
LFR is not doing anything they themselves do not already happily practice; it's just that its their ox being Algored.
We, OTOH, do not like turbines as they are being subsidized with our money. If they were a self-sufficient industry I doubt we would care one way or they other but they aren't and plenty would even capitalize on their productivity. But most, if not all, green energy is predicated upon government-imposed theft from the Productive Class.
But even then no conservative could muster the phony outrage to scream, "Won't someone think of the children!?!?" It's simply too absurd to use tornado damage as an excuse to end government cronyism. Lies are not acceptable remedies for principled minds that are offended by lies.
However, Proglodytes embrace lies. It's how they gained their turbines in the first place. They lie about global warming and they lie about the viability of wind power.
And I'll wager a months carrots that if/when some equally uncontrollable event causes petroleum or coal industry assets to inflict secondary damage on their surroundings those who race to defend their precious wind power will then gush forward to bleat and repeat every indictment their shallow little minds can fabricate.
Any takers?
