PORTAGE, MI – A Facebook post about a Portage salon owner berating a mother whose autistic toddler was acting out during a haircut is going viral on the internet.

Vanessa Hunt, of Battle Creek, authored a lengthy Facebook post about her experience at M Spa Salon, at 2276 E. Centre Ave. in Portage, on Sunday evening.

Interesting that Michelle Mott has a lawyer for something like this.

I wonder what the child did and how it was handled.

Memories, My Meme babysitting me took me at 3 years old to a salon for a perm and her hair dyed blue as was the style back then.

Later when I was in my 30's  she still reminded me of that day.    I was sat down with some magazines and my grandmother went off for the LONG process at that time .. She was into the perm stage when she looked up and I was GONE.

I was bored I believe and just went for a walk to see the town as we lived out in the country.    Naturally I remember none of this, or if I try to remember my memory's are tainted with false memories implanted by hearing grandma tell this story so often.

She ran the streets with hair in curlers dripping some kind of solution and someone finally found me just sitting on some steps watching people go by.    Some how everything worked out she got her perm and her hair blued, but , she was so traumatized at seeing me gone, 3 decades later she still could not forget that event.

Kids do the darnedest things and they are not labeled as autistic or hyper active.  Just kids that will give you nightmares as they strive for independence.    I will bet you a shot and a beer that 75% of kids labeled as in some way dysfunctional  are just normal kids that have an agenda different from their parents or the school system.

Kids do share the parents DNA but their personality's come as a shock that the child does not inherit
the personality of their parents, some kids will try to imitate a parent, seen this with adopted children that look and act just like their adoptive parents.
