Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath.

The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up." Nonetheless, in the eight months since the attacks, this is the most sweeping and detailed discussion by key players of what might have been done differently.

"We're portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots," said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. "It's actually closer to us being idiots."

Well at least they're admitting what we have all already known. Whether its incompetence or malice makes no difference to me. You need to resign either way!

They're following the same line that was pushed by the BS ARB report that Hillary and the gang are hiding behind.  In their 5 findings, they say that the screwups and neglect were severe but no one deserved punishment since they didn't really do anything intentionally.

I'd like to see him say that face to face to the families of the victims lost that night in Benghazi.

I wouldn't let him. There's no need for those families to have to deal with such an idiotic ****tard personally.

He needs to say it to MY face. Then he'll need to have a trauma surgeon handy.

No, you can be both.  And this case applies as well.

Incompetent: to me means that someone may have had or does have just a dab of competence.

I would like to coin a new word.........

Uncompetent: for democrats that have not one clue or idea of what in the world they are doing.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

This is scary.....I was listening to Megyn Kelly interview Oliver North regarding the Benghazi issue and the Administration wanting to use the FBI to go after the terrorists in Libya and not the military.

North said; "A very dear friend of mine who just unexpectedly retired from the FBI, who said that the reason he was leaving after 27 years, was because he had become part of the largest ongoing criminal enterprise in history, and he was speaking about the Obama regime....."

I saw that interview. I'm surprised there are NOT more agents leaving.

I would hope there are more agents who have too much pride in their job to pimp for Barry the communist.

They're maliciously incompetent. They make mistakes processing tax-exempt organization applications, but only against conservative groups, liberal groups are rubber-stamp approved. They miss intelligence warnings of a pending attack, and deny security that could have prevented it, merely for political points. I could go on and on...

I'm not.  It's amazing what whores people will be when they have a nice fat check coming in.

Hell, it doesn't even have to be that fat.  Look how many people just sit on their asses, get a pittance from Obama's stash, and keep pulling the lever for him.

Jackass as he is, at least Dean was expressing his true feelings; it is looking as if the White House made up the video claim 3 hours before the attack was over and they spent weeks give their "honest assessment".

US officials Wanted Benghazi Hospital To List Amb. Chris Stevens as ‘John Doe’

CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson is reporting today that U.S. officials requested the murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens be listed as “John Doe” on the Benghazi Medical Center’s death certificate. The reason? An anonymous source told Attkisson it was “to avoid drawing undue attention to the importance of the victim as Americans rushed to figure out how to recover Stevens’ body and return it to the U.S.”

I'm not sure how that would fool the terrorist who were running the hospital

It wouldn't, but the terrorists in the White House thought it would fool me and you.
